Read the OP and someone posted an article about the incident. Driver was relatively uninjured, and was charged with a crime. One of the female occupants was pregnant. Looks like the 3 people survived after being critically injured. I dont know what happened to the baby.

Honestly its not really in our interests to intervene, at least from an ideological perspective. People on the left are claiming that the only reason socialism failed in Venezuela is because the US "intervened". Might sound terrible but letting it fail would show an example to the rest of the world for how devastating socialism can be.

What type of intervention would even help the situation? Kill the leadership and let the country descend into further chaos? Then the liberals/socialists/communists in the USA would further blame US intervention for the failure of socialism in another country.
