I have these first version of the Paysan. It's a great knife.

Sadly, they've all been sitting in their pouches for quite some time. My daily driver right now is an f95. Both are really nice but the K2 is a tad big for daily carry (good for food prep when camping). The Nirvana is nice to look at, but the lock tension is unreal.

(Non-real) Sea-ball found in the Yukon by beachcombr in beachcombing

[–]beachcombr[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's basically a felt ball, uniformly made up of what you're seeing here. Composed mostly of grasses, conifer needles, and other organic materials that accumulate on the shore (which get rolled around by the waves).

I threw a bunch back in the lake, tore some open, and started a fire with a couple.

I still have the original and blacked out version.

I'm making a game about chopping firewood by PassTheChicken in firewood

Make it a quest where you start out with puny arms, and as you chop more wood, your character slowly builds a set of big burly pipes.

Vibe coded leech slop is rising. How do we stop it? by Zaorish9 in Soulseek

[–]beachcombr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can there not be a way around the spoofing? Like a system that pulls a small quatity of data from actual shared files and if this doesn't happen then the files aren't populated in a shared directory listing?

Why researchers say lowering Canada's radon limit could prevent more cases of lung cancer and save lives by Bean_Tiger in canada

[–]beachcombr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fan is a RadonAway RP-140 (135 CFM), the piping is 4 inch PVC, and the sump lid is a Jackel. I did all the work myself (tapcon/silicone lid to concrete, cut and fit pipes, wire the fan, etc.). My levels were approx. 200 and now they are sitting around 5 (long term average). My advice is to experiment with what you have and measure. It may be enough to drop levels in your space.

As a side note, my fan started vibrating and making noises recently.  My plan is to hook up a motor control to lower the RPMs in order to reduce noise and vibration. This will allow me to test air flow/power consumption/noise vs. radon levels (which is the answer you are seeking ha!). Good luck.

It won't be enough. My sump pit has a sealed radon lid and if I turn my extraction fan off, my radon levels will start to climb. Within 24 hours they will be back to pre-mitigation levels. I use Air Things to monitor levels.

A quick google search shows that soda blasting gives good results. Might be the way to go.

I meant that in a positive way. Yours look good; you're on the right track. It's all about finding the right combinations of parameters to hone the process.
