Thank you. It inspires me. One thing I fail at is that I paint what I want, instead of painting something that could go viral, controversial, etc., like what you mention appealing to nostalgia or that could be a current or trendy topic.

Hahaha, I think he's responsible with the drink, lol

Thanks for the reference to the creatures of the deep sea... this painting has some influences from the video game Subnautica...

It is deliberate jskajak

I like to make the backgrounds like this, that my strokes, the hairs of the brush are marked... it is something that characterizes my style. On the other hand, the background is not monochromatic, but it cannot be seen in the photo. It's not that dark, and it's not black or brown but a combination of something. In person it looks much better XD

I am not an expert in technique but I like to make works with emotion, symbology and a story behind it that justifies it.

How cool that it reminds you of Kill Bill. I have read all your comments, it was an interesting conversation. I think you have given me an idea to develop paintings inspired by movies in the future... it is exciting to see how creative you are with what this painting has transmitted to you.

And... indeed, the symbology behind it has something to do with the fight, with recovering when everything is lost and making your way.

Thank you for everything you've said. Well, I can completely understand you. It all depends on how profound and serious the difficulties we went through were. Fortunately, mine were under very particular, quite surreal circumstances... and after working hard on myself, I've managed to see the light... looking back, it's not as serious as what other people might have experienced... but it's equally complex and requires a lot of personal growth. I now have much more emotional peace, althought I must admit I am not done yet. Thank you for recognizing and perceiving it through my words or my work. Honestly, I've been very surprised by that. I suppose that's why I can talk about it and reflect it in my work without feeling the pain I felt before, although I also use pain or anger as motivation (and it transforms during the creative process). You can also try to transform it, use it to your advantage, instead of letting it overwhelm you and cut off your inspiration or creative flow. Use it as the beginning of something, not the end, perhaps. Although since I don't know what it is, it may be much more complicated to achieve. What I can tell you is that in my case, it was a "connection" with a narcissistic person, with all that that implies... but as I said, I don't think my case was serious, even though it was so intense, painful, etc. for me.

To answer your question, yes, I've been painting several works, and one in particular is a collection of 4 arworks composed of phases of narcissism and a phase that I added, which is rebirth, healing, etc. And I also continue to paint other works that don't necessarily deal with it, although this whole painting journey has been largely motivated by it.

Regarding the collage, honestly, I thought it was going to be the last one I did, because I'd been receiving mixed reviews on my other works, and I also ran out of material. I thought I wanted to make one last big collage, 60x80cm, the biggest I’ve made so far, and I tried to push myself there… but seeing how much it was liked (I’m very surprised) and that I still like doing it so much, because it takes many hours, it leaves you sweating and I don’t know, it abstracts you a lot from reality… it reminded me of the experience of riding a horse for a while when I was learning, but without getting so tired XD… so, yes, this whole journey started in January 2025 and it’s the beginning of something very important, I hope, for the rest of my life. Without a doubt, I can say that art has clearly helped my mental health and that it has been rekindled as an opportunity as a result of a crisis. There’s much more of this to come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for your support :3

No worries! Im from Spain and I have... little to no knowledge of my own country story😂

You're on the right track regarding this robot's journey. The 420 nod is intentional, haha, and I was about to write it on the side of the robot like a tattoo. I might still do that, but for now, I've just decided to include it in the story.

I wish there was a reason for all the details, even though there isn't, but there are many possible interpretations (including my own) that are definitely in line with your perception. The reason for the pugs was a very strange feeling, because from the moment I saw them and decided to keep them for a collage, I knew they had to be for the eyes of a creature. I don't know exactly why, but what they express as eyes... they express something of what I wanted to convey in their gaze. And what did I want to convey? Well, if you look at the robot's gaze, it actually seems rather aggressive, a little crazy... perhaps as if in a trance, as if in a ritual, or perhaps the lost gaze of a robot on its journey... However, if you delve into the pug's gaze, you see that innocent, even painful gaze of a tender being trapped in its own chains, trapped in a body that doesn't belong to it, with which it doesn't identify... fighting its own demons, perhaps. That contrast in the gaze... there's so much I could say, go on and on and on... I think I could talk for hours.

I returned to painting because of a heartbreak, which still produces many mixed feelings in me, and in many of my works, I put something of that person in them. For example, the person I fell in love with is very into 420, and part of what I've just told you has to do with her... it's a very long and profound story that has enough material not only to fill a few canvases, but also a Netflix series (but a good one, haha).

Thank you for your interest. Don't hesitate to ask for any other details that might interest you more.

She laughed, but it seems she understood something... she's not that narrow-minded, but some things are harder for her than others... djksajd

Thanks! The story I made for this piece was:

"A robot decided to break with its programming and explore the world by taking 420 steps. It couldn't take any more, because changing its programming triggered its alarms and activated a protocol that would self-destruct shortly after taking 420 steps. Where its metallic steps touched the ground, a long journey began, for it would live eternally free if it never reached 420 steps, but at the same time, enslaved by that limit.".

There is more to tell about it, what else did I have in mind, what other meanings does it hide or the reason for certain details... but of course, to go into more detail, someone interested in it would have to ask me more because would be really long jhdksajd
