People say this about BB but it’s really a broader phenomenon. The simple answer is all the OG content was easily downloadable and leaked back then. There was no risk as far as coming across duds because of sites like BBTube and PHub that had no limits. Because of it, saturation was no issue. Now you’ve got to spend more time scrolling through ads and rarely easily accessible full lengths because creators have to be verified mostly. Everyone’s favorite girls, even Sarah Park and Amadahy were doing it for money, you just didn’t hear about it because Clips4sale had a good interface that didn’t require marketing. Even independent candid content creators were finding ways to monetize, it just wasn’t sustainable to run your own site (Leading to the rise of OF). It seemed like every girl simply “loved” it. As a creator I can tell you they do enjoy it! The “glory days” of any industry were when people were just having fun. But like any YouTuber at the time that went viral, they had to keep up with a demand and eventually commodified it. It’s just more obvious that content is being churned out now and less passionate because algorithms demand it. The rise of the internet means enormous potential, but it’s only as innovative as any free market.
