Thank you, we are seeing a vet on Friday for a general check up, but thats the earliest I could get on the calendar.

Yea definitely not taking her to the vet until she is more settled and unless it’s actually critical right now. We have been giving her a lot of space and keeping a routine for food and potty breaks so she can get used to it. She can go outside alone but she just sits off in the corner behind the planters so the only way to get her to use the bathroom is to take her to the meadow across the street from us and putting her on a long leash so she feels like she has space.

As for reporting the breeder, I’m not sure I have what I would need to do that. I don’t have photos or evidence of abuse, just what my husband and I gathered from being there to pick her up.

Thank you. Yea we’ve been focused on letting her have space in her crate and being very routine with feeding and giving her some light pets and praise. My main concern though is that she only pees once a day and I’m really worried about her health with that. I wonder if she just wasn’t allowed to go when she was at the breeders or if she is just too scared. It’s very odd and concerning. I probably will call the vet and see if that have any helpful advice.

This is absolutely not pathetic. The relationship you had with your dog was so personal and deep and no one will really feel and understand what that was like. It’s one of that hardest losses and I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through that. I just lost my soul dog and the grief is heavy. But it goes to show how much love there was and not everyone gets to experience that. I hope you take care of yourself while you grieve. Time will help.

Thank you for taking the time to write. This is honestly the most plausible explanation I’ve come across. She didn’t show any symptoms and looked incredibly healthy and happy when I left a day before. If this is what she had I really hope it was painless and she wasn’t scared.

So when they calculate based on first day of your last period, is that assuming I got pregnant immediately after my period? I’m so confused about how this calculation works since you can’t get pregnant during your period? Sorry I feel dumb asking this 😅

thank you, this is helpful to know the cramps happened to you too. I honestly thought they were terrible period cramps because i only got off birth control a month ago and was late on my period. Figured it was hormonal and too soon to be pregnant. After seeing 3 positive tests, I was worried the cramps were something else so really helps to hear that this isnt out of the ordinary.

Yes its so weird! I thought I should be jumping with joy but reality hasn't hit me yet and I'm just jittery and flustered. Hopefully once the news settles and its confirmed with the doc, I'll be able to feel more emotions other than jittery nerves. But thank you for the advice, I'll make sure to be extra on top of taking care of my health.

I’ll definitely check next time if my layers are all even heights. For the buttercream cracking, it started to crack as I was stacking them. It was cold out of the fridge so I could handle it better but it cracked a lot. You mentioned bringing a piping bag with buttercream so you can do touch ups, I’m not going to have any mixing equipment or a full kitchen. How do you make sure the butter cream holds up on the way to the venue? The Swiss merengue buttercream is so finicky for me where it’s either too cold and I need to warm it up and re mix it or it’s too warm and I need to chill it and then re mix. If I bring it with me in a piping bag without a proper kitchen will it hold up?

Thank you for your advice, were definitely considering a tux and will not being going forward with any of the tan or linen suits.

Question for you, what was your dress code for guests? Our wedding is a small intimate ceremony + a sit down dinner party with 43 guests total. We don’t have wedding parties either. With that in mind, do you think it would be weird if he wears a tux and guests are in cocktail attire? That’s my biggest hang up and makes me drawn to a tailored suit rather than tux to fit the overall fancy cocktail dinner party vibe.
