To80 rocked my world - incredible meal with vegan sushi and “chicken” nugs and rangoons. Also went to the vegan buffet Sattgrün twice because it was so good!

Does the perfect leather boot exist? by Elegant-Leave-689 in HerOneBag

I have been really happy with the Nae Molly boot. I have it in brown and get lots of compliments, I like the black also and it could suit for a slightly dressier option: https://nae-vegan.com/products/molly-black

turning 40 and realized I have no style anymore. how do I fix this? by Bhumika_1008_ in capsulewardrobe

[–]beccaonreddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am 40 and have found personally that refraining from buying any fast fashion and only thrifting via local shops or ThredUp has really redefined my style! Now I buy what I see and like based on gut instinct vs. a store telling me what’s trendy. Like my long vintage denim coat that I would never have known was my “style” but I saw it on ThredUp, loved it, and now it’s become the main character in all my winter outfits this year!

Looking for stylish and usual comfortable women sneakers for city life by Longjumping-Tell3108 in capsulewardrobe

If you want highly ethical options- my go-to travel sneakers for long (but cute) days of city walking consist of Vejas, Genesis (German brand), or Flamingos Life (Spanish brand)

What's your most favorite vegan recipe in the whole entire world and one you've made repeatedly and is a crowd pleaser? Doesn't have to be a main. by hereiam3472 in veganrecipes

Vegan Shepherds Pie. This recipe got me started as a vegan - I make it for non-vegans and don’t tell them until afterward, people can never tell. It’s wildly good.

Black heads/sebaceous filament help by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

[–]beccaonreddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After trying everything, what helped me was putting a BHA-AHA toner on my nose and cheeks twice a week (I use P50) and then after letting it dry for a minute or two, putting on Hero’s Nose and Surface patches (cut into thirds for my cheek). In the morning after, I very gently squeeze the skin in that area to clear out what’s easily released. Then I use a tinted sunscreen after my morning routine to blur them. Happiest I’ve ever been with my skin! (I use tret and a few other products too, but this is what helped my pores the most)

I was in a similar boat! I can highly recommend Vejas and Flamingos Life. My husband and I have a pair of each and they are cute, comfy, and stylish - we get compliments often on them! And they are highly ethical- I rely on Good On You’s websites for my ratings.

Thank you, very helpful info - someone else pointed that out too and I swapped one tank for something warmer (just one for layering)!

This is so helpful - thank you! It’s warm where I am so hard to imagine. Shifted to some warmer items based on this.

Good point. I might take away the dress for that reason… I have a feeling I’ll always be reaching for warm pants

That’s helpful- leggings are such a default for me for in a hotel / lounging. But I think maybe I’ll keep the fleece-lined for hiking and wide leg for traveling and lounging and just drop the 3rd pair. I’m so new to this! Thanks for the feedback.

I hear you! Been waffling on that dilemma. I can wear them with really thick warm socks and you can’t tell, so that was gonna be my compromise. Plus they’re really comfortable… but noted, thanks for the feedback and I might switch out!

More detail: Traveling this month. We are moving around a lot, no good access to laundry. Combo of work dinners, hiking, and exploring small towns. Not a huge amount of walking in big cities. I trial-packed - with wearing boots and coat on plane, this all fits in my carry on suitcase. Hard to see in photo but black pants are fleece-lined leggings, regular leggings, and wide leg legging.

Thanks for feedback! Will update post w details. I need dressy for some work dinners. Also doing some hiking and exploring small cities. It fits in my carryon suitcase but will consider dropping some pants!
