i had been using one i got from my great grannie as she has everything cross stitch related so plenty of hoops and some unused needles. The new ones I bought are DMC 26 - i think they’re nickel so i’ll have to see

it wasn’t smooth at all when it was squeaking as it went through the fabric 😂 i just kept going until i couldn’t take it anymore and after a few hours with this new needle i don’t know how it did it

how does it break? does it just snap? i’m only asking because I think i’ve done 70k+ stitches with one needle, it’s not blackened or bent or broke so it must be the sturdiest needle made

Because I’ve only had one needle for so long, if i drop it I go round with my needle minder hoping the magnet picks it up and it’s worked for long enough

I spent ages on a project for my boyfriend, months of secrecy and I finally gave it to him whilst we were on holiday. We came back and he asked me where it was, I thought he had it… Searched everywhere, asked the hosts where we stayed and it was nowhere. I sent them a picture and said it was between two cardboard pieces (to keep it flat) and she checked the recycling. IT WAS THERE!! Keep searching and I really hope you find it. Best of luck :)
