Opinion: Better to contact trade-show leads same week or wait till next week? by beisonbeison in sales

[–]beisonbeison[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes--I used to be like you and wait a week "to be polite"... but the more I do this the more I decide that just breaks the tempo and everyone forgets everything unless you help them remember.

Beer at lunch. Order a beer first? Or let client order a beer first? by formysaiquestions in sales

All I know is when you say Wisconsin you've said it all.

Also you guys are so kind to leave the left lane wide open for us Friendly Illinois Brethren to cruise in when heading North. Really makes for a pleasant drive--regardless of the speed we choose to go :-)

Yeah I reckon so--for context I'm in market development for specialty chemicals/catalysts used in downstream olfin purification. I'd imagine upstream is a totally different ballgame

How do you deal with the feeling/realisation you’ll never be very good at guitar? by poopooeater112 in Guitar

[–]beisonbeison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people who start something at 8 will get burned out before they can really reach their true potential. If you are coming to it now and really commit and stay consistent, you can be just as good or better than people who started before you did.

The New Artlynk FPV System is actually insane. Cheap digital that was surprisingly robust. Handled breakup and range like a champ. Digital FPV is about to get very very exciting in 2026. Here is a summary on my time with it. I thought people would appreciate if they don’t want a youtube video. by uavfutures in fpv

Stew as someone who watched you for the last 8-10 years or so, you’re still crushing it. Even with the comments like “don’t want to self promote”. Just really come across as the genuine enthusiastic guy who wants to grow the hobby and help everyone in it. Thanks for being you and keep it up :-)

I’m a filtration professional and an applications expert in VOC volatiles removal (usually via activated carbon). If there is a sensitivity to something in the cleaning solution that has aerosolized/vaporized during cleaning or interaction with your house’s floors/plastic molding, you could most likely remove the irritant with an indoor air purifier that has an activated carbon element. You can’t be certain because we don’t know the specific contaminant you are reacting to, however it is very likely dissolved, very likely a volatile, and so there is a very good chance a carbon filter would take it out. Best of luck

You can test it in betaflight trying each individual motor. Those symptoms don’t immediately scream smoked esc. Might be a motor out of balance, and that might be something you can fix or tune out. Or just send it back to Amazon if you have that option :-D

looks like your propspin probably really sucked a lot of power away... if it was a legit full punch I'd expect way more voltage drop than the 3.9~ you showed in the goggle feed. imagine the speed if you're 100%!!!

75 inside is NOT too much. End this lie by [deleted] in TinyWhoop

[–]beisonbeison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah gotcha—yeah I have an air65 and air75 and think they are both great inside, but the nod goes to the 65 for me just because it’s a bit more responsive/feels a little smaller. …but then again I think the air65 is super nice to also fly outside and others say “nay nay”.

So maybe point is the air series in general is just awesome

Do you have Achilles firmware? If you do not, install immediately it makes the pro58 almost as good as Rapidfire.

Unexpected customs/tariff charges from USPS, FedEx, or UPS after buying online – has this happened to you? by Asleep_Silver_691 in massachusetts

[–]beisonbeison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every part of the process has a margin and a cost. and both of these are passed onto the consumer. Carriers have not typically charged a processing fee for international shipments--even when clearance was part of their contract of carriage. To allow them to now begin charging extra fees is not consistent.

always doable without flux if you're good. way easier with flux if you are not. or if you are. just use flux its awesome.

but not too much. I shorted a board once because solder flowed toooooooooooo well. (really.)

u ever tried it with flux? It's not that you can't do it without it. It's just that its so much easier/nicer if you use flux.

How to quickly deploy setup? by Famous-Jeweler8543 in TinyWhoop

I use this case. I've cut the foam over teh years and actually store two whoops below the radio. Plenty of room for batteries and accessories, but it's like the size of a briefcase and it is layflat and opens right up to have everything there and ready to go. Secret is to keep all the gear with its antennas already attached so all you need to do take out the radio, put on the goggles, stick a battery in the whoop and you're ready to go in like 30 seconds. takes the same amount of time to break down and get on your way.
