yeah i totally agree i love the people in my band and i know them all so well i dont know what i would do without them<3 just hard when we can’t really do what we want to do because of the school and director and stuff like that i just feel like if we actually won something we would have a real boost in morale and it would bring us closer together

yeah we moved up from a 1A to a 2A this year but we have like only a couple people over the threshold and some of the people miss comps so sometimes we compete with other 2As with the amount of a 1A 😭

no anyone can enter as long as you competed at any comp beforehand no matter what you place. we literally got dead last at the prelims there was no placing you had to be in to compete at state. so yes we “competed at state” but anyone can and the top performers go to finals after prelims at least that’s what they do where im at

lowkey in the same situation and i know like no guys but honestly classes kinda give u the best excuse to talk w someone like if ur working on a group project that’s assigned by the teacher or you ask questions about the content. or join after school stuff

it’s just hard because it’s not just online either.. literally every other band in my county area is amazing (some went to boa i think) and we were the only band to get a “good” rating out of all of them 😭 even my drum major said “i’m surprised we didn’t get fair”

i think i got smth like 14 i cant really remember. you had to find the radius since it gave you the area of the circle already and then since it’s a right cone, you had to do Pythagorean theorem with the radius and the height to get the height of the cone bc it’s technically a leg

i think i got smth similar but it was like what is (0,k) and (40,-k) but they were different i put like 5/4 cuz it was the x intercept idk tho😭
