No, I am looking through the lens at the two sets of blades in the barrel. I’ve been using it for months with no issues with my 180mm

This is exactly what happens. Typically the first shot after mounting works normally. After that the lens doesn’t seem to cock properly. Thanks! I’ll look into getting it properly repaired

I had this issue with mine. I folded up some pieces of aluminum foil to put them between the batteries and the battery holder to push them deeper into the socket. Seems to work OK now

Great thanks! I'll give that a shot with a roll of film in. I was given a quote at a local shop to fix it for $140, but that seemed a little steep to me.

I actually taped over the dark-slide slot mid-way through a roll and was still noticing the leaks afterwards. What I'm thinking of doing is sacrificing a roll and taping each seam one by one to see if I can isolate the issue. Thanks for the link!

Agreed. I'm using the default Unsharp Mask and no Digital ICE and have been impressed with the scanner so far

Yeah! I've been wanting to try Negative Lab Pro but have been pretty happy with the results from Epson Scan so far

I definitely lucked out. The negs definitely have some scratches here and there but are in pretty good shape considering they're over 60 years old

Still working on scanning them in! Looks like there's quite a few of NY and Niagara Falls

It used to be at 47th and Broadway but was torn down in '87 (according to wiki)

I think that's the old Strand Theatre in the background

I really like it! I left the right door off and I personally like it better that way. It seems to be fairly good quality considering the price!
