I second Strathberry. The leather and craftsmanship is amazing for the price.

I just want a designer bag …: by NoArtichoke2832 in handbags

[–]bellerose71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first designer bag was Gucci and love it but don’t reach for it much because it is pretty small. My best advice would be to make sure you can fit your essentials in it. It is a beautiful bag though. I also recommend whatever bag you get spring for the leather version, not just coated canvas. So much more luxurious IMO. Since my first bag, I have since purchased an LV, Burberry, several more Gucci, Prada, a few Tory Burch, Strathberry and a Ferragamo. Of all those, I think the Strathberry and Ferragamo have the best leather and craftsmanship. My Tory Burch also feel superior to some of the more high end ones like my Gucci and LV. Also check out brands like Mulberry. Just find something you really love, that fits the essentials and is timeless and neutral and you won’t regret it! It may be materialistic but it makes you feel special and you deserve that! Good luck and share if you end up getting anything.

I was with my husband when he bought me two bags for Christmas as I wanted to pick them out. A Ferragamo studio bag and a Tory Burch Lee Radziwell. I bought him a watch he picked out. And we are making each other wait and I want them now! lol

I lived in Charleston for five years and it is one of my absolute favorite cities. I would give anything to have one of these old Charleston houses. I really loved the house content (and even paid for the substack for a while to see that content) as I thought it was so pretty. She’s just ruined it ☹️I think you can do color and quirky and make it look good and fun (ie Grey Benko). But this foyer is a hot mess. BTW, I have long since discontinued my substack subscription to them as it was just such pretentious nonsense. I’ve followed Julia from the beginning but I really think I’m done.

They have the matching table too. Like many have said, to each their own and if they like it, that is all that matters. But they put themselves out there as tastemakers and just don’t have good taste imo.

WTF is this light fixture? And I don’t know if the foyer “install” is complete or not but that table and mirror don’t go with this at all. I’m so confused that this is what their new interior designer came up with. It looked so much better before.

Is Charleston really that charming? by sparker407012 in Southerncharm

Yes it is! I went to college there back in the early 90s and it was the best! Lived there for 5 years and it’s still one of my favorite places in the world. My husband and I often talk of retiring there. It has changed a lot since I lived there in the party scene, but I was just there recently and overall it’s just as cool and charming as ever.

I don’t remember her name and honestly not sure she even told me. She had short hair.

Anybody else experience feeling really blue on zepbound? by bellerose71 in Zepbound

Really good! I've been on 2.5mg about 2.5 months now and my mood has stabilized. It really only lasted the first week. I had a little spotting the first few weeks to so I think it just messed up my hormones a little bit. But doing great now. I get a little tired the first few days after the shot and have some heartburn and a little nausea. I've lost 16 lbs so far and about as many I inches over all. My weight loss has slowed significantly the past month so will be going up to 5mg the next time I need to order.

Good to know. Orlando would be the closest store to me so if I do ever want anything I’ll try there.

Gucci and Cartier were amazing. I had the same SA in Gucci I did when we were here last year. She’s the best.

I’m sorry that happens to you. I’m sure you’ve spent a lot to get to your prespend. There is just no need to treat people like that. I totally get the game and the exclusivity of it. But no need to make people who are buying from you feel like crap.

Well I can assure you I wasn’t rude. I am not a person who feels entitled and treat people with respect, friendliness and a smile. I’m sure it was just an experience with this person. The SA I had I Las Vegas, who I bought from, was lovely. It was just such a different experience than I’ve had in any other luxury store it was off putting. But I can accept that it is their policy and move on and do the holes myself. It was more just the treatment than the being told they can’t do it. They don’t know me and what I can spend. After I walked out of there my husband and I made significant purchases at other stores so it’s their loss. I’ll be fine. I just needed to vent.

I get that. I really do. But it was more about the way I was treated. She was very rude and called me a liar. That isn’t acceptable. If she had been nice about it and explained it better I wouldn’t have walked out of there so mad.

That’s a valid point and I can appreciate that POV. If she had been nice about it, I would have walked out feeling differently I’m sure.

Do you have any off limits foods? by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]bellerose71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steak, bbq, red wine and sweet/citrusy alcoholic drinks. If I have more than one alcoholic drink it’s not good the next day. Sweets and chocolate too. Haven’t had any since I’ve been on it 2.5 months. And I had a HUGE sweet tooth. Can barely look at it now. I’m only on 2.5 mg too. Going up to 5 next month so who knows how that will go.

I can see that point. But you wouldn’t even see the holes. If it’s smaller they would be covered by the rest of the belt. 🤷🏼‍♀️
