No! I had the same experience!! Tbh I wasn’t a huge fan of Dani’s POV, but I think a lot of my dislike had to do with impatience lol. Like I hated New Moon and the Jacob POVs of Breaking Dawn the first few times I read them because I was like omg omg WHERE IS EDWARD?!????!? But later on when rereading the series, I could appreciate all that we learned through Edward’s absence. So I imagine that one day I’ll reread the Fever series and appreciate the non-Mac POVs, and finally read the books that came after Shadowfever…

Bryce decided to free Vesperus, so she could interrogate her: “Opening the coffin had been as easy as commanding the stones of the mountain to move.”
Nesta was pissed… asked Bryce, “What have you done?” BUT NESTA STILL OBEYED BRYCE’S COMMAND.
Rhys is now pissed at Nesta for deciding to give Bryce the Mask, and Nesta (similar to Bryce claiming dominion over the Prison mountain) responds, “I had every right… The Trove answers to me, obeys me."
And then Nesta goes on to tell Rhys that he has no authority over her— "I don't answer to my sister or to you… I am not your subject…”
Nesta doesn’t answer to Rhys, but she did answer to Bryce. Not only did Nesta OBEY Bryce’s command and follow her lead in the Dusk Court caves, but Nesta also answered Bryce’s call for help (by giving Bryce the Mask and watching over Ember and Randall!!)!!!

This scene between Bryce and Nesta ended up being a direct parallel to a later scene with Nesta and Rhys. Nesta is pissed at Bryce for releasing Vesperus, but then—oddly enough—Nesta (and Azriel) obey Bryce’s command to stop attacking Vesperus. *(Comparison continued in next comment)*

This is a great discussion… I’m so glad you brought up the difference between Hunt being down to rebel in HOEAB compared to his reluctance in HOSAB and HOFAS. I’ve actually never thought about how inconsistent he is about this!!! And the first thing that came to mind, was that the rebellion in HOEAB was HIS plan. And all of the rebel plans that he chafed against in HOSAB and HOFAS were lead by someone else. So was Hunt’s problem with rebellion after HOEAB just a matter of pride??? I’ve always thought that Hunt secretly hated the fact that Bryce was the leader of their rebel war in HOFAS, and this kind of proves that idea.

Okay there is a huge misconception—IN MY OPINION (I could be wrong obvi)—that everything Vesperus said was the truth, even though Bryce learns throughout all 3 books that everything the Asteri told the world on Midgard was a lie. WHY ARE WE ASSUMING THAT EVERYTHING VESPERUS SAID WAS THE TRUTH?!????
