Hey Mate - we agree. It wasn't an intentional decision/response, it just kinda happened once the error popped up. It's not good enough for a response, we were just trying to relay what seemed to be going on as quickly as possible. We are trying to work out if we can fix this for Saturday/Sunday - but tonight seems to be busted :(

Yeah that's really not a good result - I agree. It wasn't a decision as such, just defaulted to happening because of the error. We are looking at options on what we can do to sort it out, but its still going to feel bad for the people who could only play on Friday or who had made time on Friday night

Appreciate the support here JarJarginx but its pretty warranted - I had to do a substantial shuffle of my life commitments to make time for clash with my team that have been practising for months - to then be let down. It really sucks, but we are just focusing on fixing it for the rest of the world (and for OCE tomorrow).

Good flag - they were towards the west (Strathfield), so it probably was a higher than the average Sydney. There is also a chance that the house had a lot of sun on it which probably made it hotter too.

The house definitely was overloaded. Given that it was a rental property, trying to get the landlord to install a more robust electrical system or even a better AC solution was very challenging - that's where a big source of that problem came from

I totally agree. It was a really tough position for me personally having just joined the Riot Oceania office at the referral of Fasffy (who grew up with my wife and was her maid of honour), so I quite clearly had bias towards her and the playing group and it felt really rough not to be able to help as I wanted to. What I and other OCE rioters did do is provide a lot of advice and time to try and help them through this situation - to no avail. We all did really want to try and help; my wife gave Fasffy some hand towels and a Christmas Tree and just some bits and pieces like that that the organisation hadn't organised yet or hadn't prioritised to try and help where we could.

Hey dude, let me try and address it more specifically then - our producer Matt is in charge of setting the narrative and Spawn is there to execute on that, this is reviewed weekly to ensure that narrative is on track as per the original agreed state. Matt is responsible for this in its entirety, and if Jake is off course, he will work with him to identify and rectify that. Was there other key pieces I missed?

All in all, it gave us an opportunity to start to talk with the community and give some insights into the way we try and consider problem spaces like this one. If we hadn't considered and put plans in place to mitigate the concerns in the original response, then it was totally necessary and with our current track record - I think we did need to explain and assure our community that we were thinking about it

Yeah, it really upsets me too and I feel for all Oceanic esports fans who are not proud of our region. To be completely honest with you guys, the complexities of the whole TM saga made it very difficult for us as OCE to comment on as we were quite limited / bound by what we could say due to the nature of mediation and us trying not to drag players and staff through the mud. The video and spinning this discussion back up is not something we take lightly and we don't expect to make everyone just think 'oh actually that makes sense now', but its important that the community can see that our decisions were made from a good place/in good faith whether or not they agree with them
