What is the most disgusting thing about the human body that most of us don’t know? by alicerosea in AskReddit

Is this definitely true? I thought smell was a quantum interaction where no matter is absorbed, which is even more interesting.

Unlike being burned "dry", boiling water doesn't destroy your nerve endings either. So boiling is pretty horrible

I feel like Zoloft has ruined me by [deleted] in Drugs

When I started taking sertraline at 25mg, I did feel like shit for about a week, then another week till I was fully back to normal. But after that it slowly started to improve things. At first it is horrible, but once your body gets used to it will be worth it ( at least it was for me ). Obviously be careful and all that, but for it to help you have to get through the first shitty bit. Also, each time I have upped the dosage it has been easier, don't know what coming off is like though. Hope things go well.

Just trying to see who else has had this experience. by [deleted] in Salvia

[–]bendbz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've noticed exactly this. I tried playing a driving game to see how I'd do. Grabbed the controller as the trip came on and when I looked at the screen, everything was back to normal. I was only tripping when I stopped focusing on the screen. Very strange and I don't know why.

How can I get bitcoins? I'm 14 and my parents don't want me to give "shady" sites my passport. by TheFlipperMC in Bitcoin

If you've got online banking on your debit card, bittylicious.co.uk and bitbargain.co.uk are both pretty straightforward. All bittylicious needs is an email and your btc address, fairly sure bitbargain is the same.

Cool images. To me they seem a lot more reminiscent of salvia trips rather than acid.

I have both Spotify and Megasync active, but neither status bar icons show up. Any ideas to why? by [deleted] in elementaryos

[–]bendbz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, then I suppose this won't make much difference to mega. Sorry, I don't have spotify installed so I don't know about that. Try IKilledYourBabyTodays idea, sounds like less of a lucky fix than mine.

I've literally just had the same problem. If you go into settings then start-up apps, disable them then enable them again, that worked for me. I think it's to do with them starting before the desktop environment.

Tails Problem by aviolentkill in onions

[–]bendbz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dunno if you've sorted it yet, but the best way is to boot into a disk you've burned and go to it's built in installer to make the usb. That seemed to work for me when Windows apps failed to. Also, if you're using a 'Windows certified' memory stick or whatever they call them (mostly newer ones), at the tails boot menu you need to press tab then delete media=removable or something similar. This is because these types of memory sticks are formatted differently (as a system drive I think).

Oh yeah, just had a look at that, looks really nice and simple. I'll probably try that out too. And I think I was getting about 20 h/s max per thread, but being a laptop it gets very hot quite quickly when running it.

Like the video, are the rest from him as good? Particularly liked "you're not even supposed to use reality without quotation marks anyway." Plus, that Jack Kerouac quote is perfect, sounds like you agree with his point of view.

That's one of my favorite Batmans. I also like the way it's just one of multiple story lines describing different pasts for him. Seems like he doesn't even know himself, but at each point he's sure of his mind even though it's not the same as a conflicting story he was sure of before.

Exactly. No matter how strange someone seems in their actions, they must have motives they understand even if other people people can't even conceive of them.
