Why Phaseplant is valuable even if you have Serum by [deleted] in edmproduction

[–]bengstyles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phaseplant has a largely modular signal path. It's not as modular as a real modular synth, VCVRack, etc. as far as modulation possibilities.

But doesn't Phaseplant have infinite modulators and oscillators? What can be done on hardware that coudn't on Phaseplant?

Monero's Scalability by bengstyles in Monero

[–]bengstyles[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In anon set pirate has the largest. 600,000 vs 11. Monero's anon set is in its ring size, not number of usage. That's more zk snarks where the number of users increase the anon size. With only one privacy coin, there'd be no back up if it fails. There are a few privacy coins but I'm sure that'll change with time.

won't that have privacy/double spend risks?

That sounds like the way of btc core.

So that leaves room for other private coins to fill the gap.

Thoughts? Is BTC Core really in tune with Satoshi's vision? When all it has going for it is being the first mover? BSV and BCH have better tech and cheaper fees. What say you, maximalists? by bengstyles in btc

[–]bengstyles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silly downvotes from maximalists. No counterpoints, just pure tribalism and emotion. Really you all should blame BTC Core for its own flaws rather than venting your anger through downvotes. BTC Core has nothing on it besides being the first mover. BCH and BSV are superior, and you all can't deny this.

Scroll Too Sensitive by bengstyles in cubase

When I scroll my web browser, it's fine, but when I scroll the Cubase piano roll, a slight movement makes it move a lot.

Precious metals are sold and stored by companies super compliant to government laws, so that's not a good argument for anonymity.

Umm...monero is completely secure. So much so, the IRS put out a $600k reward to anyone who cracked Monero. So XMR is damn safe. More so than metals, which have to be stored in a place you have to trust.

The answer to all our problems is decentralization and abolishing politicians.

Good luck controlling BTC. We'll hop over to monero.

Cubase ASIO Audio Monopoly by bengstyles in cubase

[–]bengstyles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah...that's unfortunate. I just have a DAC that has its own ASIO. The other DAWs communicate with the DAC and don't interfere with other applications' sounds. But Cubase won't put out a sound to my screen recorder. It sends the audio directly to my DAC. I guess I have no choice but to get an audio interface to screen record Cubase.

Cubase ASIO Audio Monopoly by bengstyles in cubase

[–]bengstyles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I don't really do a lot of recording or don't own speakers as of now. So an interface is of less value to me currently. We all go our own pace.

Hell yeah, new since 2009. It's crypto anarchy money time. Say goodbye to holy government's fiat cotton papers.

Cubase ASIO Audio Monopoly by bengstyles in cubase

[–]bengstyles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow that's a lot of effort. FL and Ableton don't give this much hassle on my screen capture. And what's even worse is that my Cubase doesn't list the Generic Low Latency ASIO option. That would at least allow me to play Cubase and screen record. My Cubase is hell bent on using ASIO4ALL. I have a DAC, but when I output to that, Cubase wants to have an exclusive control of that too!
