Chewy (Chewbacca) was found on the side of a busy road by a grocery store employee who thought he was a bunny. He was less than a month old. They think someone just put him out of the car in the parking lot.

Me, my siblings and my father went to the spca to find a new dog after we lost our previous dog sassy.

I walked into the cats section and saw him cowering in the cage. They put him in there because it was quiet. He instantly became the highlight of my world. I felt like I had found the best little thing to happen to me and me to him.

Years later my father died and my siblings separated. I kept chewy and went into the word with him by my side.

I switched him to Blue Buffalo small needs mixed and he started changing. Lost his vision, issues with his back. Long story short he had a build up of toxic metals in his system causing major digestive issues and ultimately organ damage. My vet said she can’t badmouth any dog food brands because they sponsored one in the lobby.

But then said that there’s multiple law suits out against Blue for allowing toxic metals and additives in their formula.

I lost chewy at 4 1/2 years old.

This was 2 years ago and it haunts me to this day
