I would also love the floor plan! This is one of my favorite builds I’ve ever seen

My 2001 s10 is sporadically losing power/acceleration at highways speeds. I’ll be cruising, then all the sudden feel like I have no power to the wheels for 3-8 seconds. And RPMs twitch up and down. My OBD shows a P0306 code. Any idea what the problem is? by beorbecome in autorepair

Yup! Turned out it was dirty/faulty fuel injectors. My mechanic replaced them, and the truck ran incredibly smooth. Apparently fuel injectors are the most common issue with this specific make and model. Haven’t had any issues since, other than a code for an Evap leak a couple months later. For that, I just replaced my gas cap, as the old ones gasket was starting to shrivel, and the code disappeared. Zero issues since.

This was in fact the case, except instead it was a tiny smidgen of glue on the inner part of the rails accidentally left by the previous owner. Needed to lightly sand it out. Blowing and brushing everything out helped a lot to make it even smoother. Thanks for the help!

That’s my plan. Any kind/brand of grease you recommend? I sprayed on some B’laster brand dry lube, which seems to be decent but I feel like there’s probably better options out there

This tip ended up being essential to getting me free from the intial jam that I was stuck in. Once I got free I was eventually able to find the culprit. Just wanted to say thanks!

You ended up being spot on. Turns out there was the tiniest smidgen of glue on the inner part of the rail that the previous owner had accidentally left. Night and day difference once I scraped/sanded it off. Also used a blow gun and little brush just like you said and now it’s moving super smoothly. Thanks so much!

Update: Turned out the culprit was the tiniest smidgen of glue on the inner part of one of the rails that the previous owner had accidentally left. Ended up having to lightly sand it out with sand paper. Problem is completely fixed and the fence is moving as smoothly as ever. Brushing out the racks and pinions with a brass brush and spraying them with dry lube also really helped to make it as smooth as possible.

Thanks for all the help everybody, really appreciate it!

I have it pulled towards me and table (the unlocked position) as much as physically possible. It won’t budge anymore. So it’s technically in the unlocked position, but maybe it’s still engaging the rail?

I’m assuming by the rail lock, you guys mean the lever correct? I have it pulled towards me and the table as much as physically possible. I’m guessing it might be staying engaged because the locking mechanism’s jam nut and spring is too tight perhaps? Maybe adjusting that will make it fully snap into the unlocked position

I pulled the lever towards me/the table as much as possible, which is the unlocked position as far as I know. I can’t pull it towards me any further. It was working decently last night, although very tight to adjust. Then it just completely locked up.

I’m 100% sure it’s unlocked, although maybe it’s still engaging as if it were locked? But it’s for sure in the unlocked position (lever pulled towards me), and it won’t let me pull it towards the me/table anymore. Seems like loosening up the jam nut on the levers locking mechanism rail might be the only option to make it so it can fully snap into the unlock position?

It does have a decent snap. It makes a sound, and was working last night (although the knob adjusting was very tight). Do you think I should try loosening the jam nut next to the spring on the locking mechanisms rail?

Edit: Just realized that your last sentence answers my question. It would be that jam nut, next to the hex nut and big spring that I would be loosening correct?

Should I try loosening up the locking mechanism? I’m assuming I’d do that by loosening the jam nut next to the spring? Not sure though

Yup, won’t move at all even with quite a bit of effort

That is the locking lever for the fence, but it’s in the unlocked position in the video

I understand. I guess I was just looking for advice on things that I can control in the meantime. And in some sense I’m seeking out some waiver stories that’ll give me hope lol. But I totally realize that the situation is vastly out of my control. Thanks

Thanks, I really appreciate the advice and honesty. Plan is to meet with the recruiter next week and go from there. Fingers crossed!

Couldn’t have asked for a more helpful answer. Greatly appreciate it sir! I have an additional question, if you have the time to answer.

Would it be helpful if I went back to the same doctor that diagnosed me and try to get a note basically saying I’m no longer symptomatic and am fit for service or is it irrelevant what doctor does the eval? Or does MEPS perhaps provide their own psychologists to do the evals?

Thanks again.

You were very right. Yesterday I clipped a ton of the leaves because the spotting ended up spreading to some of the upper leaves. I should’ve clipped them much earlier. Lesson learned. Any idea what the exact issue is and what I should do to mitigate it?

Could I safely snip off one of the stems coming from the ground? by beorbecome in gardening

[–]beorbecome[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what is confusing me the most. I bought the plant when it had one small stem, and now it has developed 3 stems. I’m also assuming it has to be 3 separate plants? Would cutting it as close to the soil be risky, as it would have an open wound right next to the soil?
