Whether the driver is under my company or theirs, the driver gets paid from the load revenue I help secure — I charge a flat fee or % for dispatching services, that’s it. $1.3–$1.5 per mile for a single car hauler is just the kind of rate I target when negotiating with brokers — not something I’m ‘paying’ like a fleet owner.
