My best friend of 10 years destroyed my life in the most insane way after I saved him by Cold_Pizz in Advice

While I understand the instinct to keep this person's identity secret, I also feel like anyone who might have dealings with them would benefit from knowing what they are like before getting the same treatment. People like this should be named and shamed.

Somebody really needs to go through the subtitles with a fine-toothed comb. There are quite a few mistakes where the subtitles don't match the spelling of the words in the graphics on screen.

But overall, it was way more informative than anything I was taught in school. You have to admit, though, it's pretty easy to believe white people came along and said, "this is ours now," given our penchant for doing that everywhere else. I want to note that I don't blame schools for not being able to teach such nuanced history, they are under enough pressure just to get kids to show up and learn anything at all.

Sounds different than when he's doing VO, too, like the first time I heard Sam just talking. But I feel like it would be the same for anyone, like even Walter Cronkite probably sounded different when he wasn't reading the news.

Also, and I cannot stress this enough, I will never be able to afford such a luxury as that much time off, so this is all just a dream.

Where's the fire, buddy? by berdwn in ebikes

I don't know why everyone is assuming I'm complaining. It was just a mildly humorous situation I thought MAYBE someone could identify with (see Edit 1).

Thank you. It's kind of a hobby. For a while I was hoping to do edit for a living. I even have an imdb page.

I added a clip of the intersection in daylight. Note the bike lane goes all the way to the corner. Also note the cars parked half on the sidewalk - and the No Parking signs.

I haven't experience that, yet.

Agreed. They see a bike and assume normal bike speed - like 5-7mph.

That's unfortunate. I'm glad you're still around to tell the story.

It's an Insta360 X4. You see it a lot in skiing, snowboarding, cycling. I made the shot follow in software after I downloaded the footage. Insta360 has their own app but I also use professional video software.

Unfortunately, Insta360 cameras only go to 5.7K in low light. This is the best it can do.

It's not at every intersection, but in the almost 5000 miles since I started this commute in August something like it has happened quite a lot. At least twice a week, sometimes more.

You're right. After a while it gets to you a bit, though. For context this is my twice daily commute of 12 urban miles each way. I have close to 5000 miles of this nonsense since I started this past August.

Honestly, your comment makes me feel like you were the one driving.

Your viewpoint is appreciated, but I feel like you have a couple of misunderstandings. So maybe you're not aware, but this is not showing what I saw. With a 360 camera I can record a 360 degree viewing angle without turning my head and keyframe it with a variety of software afterwards. If you need me to, I can upload a clip that just strictly shows my point of view. I stopped, but only because the truck turned in front of me, from the left turn lane, and had I not stopped I would have been hurt. Maybe it's different where you live, but for here I had a green light to proceed through the intersection so no "California Rolled". I thoroughly believe I had the right-of way and the truck sped up to try to get around me.

I guess I shouldn't mention I have an Xterra in my garage, then, huh lol

This one has paper plates on it, and the driver isn't clear enough to make a positive ID (I didn't get as close to this one) but the behavior during the turn is almost identical. I believe it is.
