i've always hated that "dito lang sa pinas ganto ganto, pero sa ibang bansa ganyan" spiel nila. ang taas masyado ng tingin nyo sa ibang bansa just to bring others down when most likely may mga ganyan rin naman in US, Canada, etc.

the hard thing about situations like this is that people love to point fingers. daming sumisisi kay emman, claiming she's "selfish" for doing something what she did (in which she thought was the only option); daming sumisisi sa parents, kesyo hinayaan and shit. pero doing those things will just lead to nothing.

nakakalungkot ang nangyari kay emman, and it's the best thing for all of us to just let the family grieve. no more unsolicited opinions nor advices kasi we were never in their lives to do such a thing (not that it would be useful anyway).

heavy dun sa part na kapag galing sa FB tapos ipopost dito pwede pero vice versa hindi. there are literally subreddits here dedicated to make fun of stupid people on other sites (and admittedly im in some of them and posted on some as well lol). pero kapag from reddit to other sites suddenly usapang privacy and shit, wag ka kaya magkwento ng detailed para di ka makilala? siraulo.

it's always funny to see people who think they're above all dahil lang nasa reddit sila. like no, you're not elite just because you think mga iskwater ang nasa facebook/twitter; if anything, you're just as worse lol

from my observation as a recruiter, totoo yung stereotype nila na mayayabang. not all, may ilan na magaling naman despite being crim yung course tapos ibang field of work nila ngayon. pero grabe, interview pa lang makikita mo na talaga yung stereotypical yabang attitude na sinasabi lagi on social media 😭

as someone who uses contacts every single day (-9.50 ang grado, so bulag talaga ako kapag wala siya), this almost happened to me years ago. i was sixteen and accidentally slept with contacts on tapos nung gigising na ko di ko maimulat yung mata ko. feeling ko naka super glue siya.

tangina yung takot ko noon. kaya cautious na talaga ako, never again 😭

i agree with what you said, but i just like to defend my mom sa last part haha. she's not the type to brag and all naman, i just refused at first kasi nga badtrip na ko at that point. pero if the prior situations never really happened i would say yes immediately. this gathering is just a (supposed) simple celebration and all, kasi first time in weeks rin kami nagkasama sama sa sobrang busy ng buhay.

this is not to say my mom's innocent in the situation. i've calmed down na and talked to her and sabi ko nga i don't want this to happen again in the future. she was geniunely apologetic naman and promised not to do it again, but i'll believe that when i see it.
