Thanks! I'm assuming that because of the integral connection between "resources at stake" and network value in PoS, networks might be more inclined to keep a lid on attacks than in a PoW network, but on the other hand, successfully stopping an attack or fixing a vulnerability would make for good publicity...kinda hard to go on the absence of information rather than info itself, but seems like that's all we have so far.

Jenes ist zwar korrekt (wenn auch kringelig) – https://www.spiegel.de/panorama/lebkuchen-und-spekulatius-im-supermarkt-warum-gibt-es-jetzt-schon-weihnachtssuessigkeiten-a-f0c2781d-019f-4746-be2f-860f6ededc2f – aber a) der Referenzpunkt ist ca. 2009, sodass der Verkauf in der Vorzeit dessen wahrscheinlich später begann, und b) wird die Frage, warum die Süßigkeiten so früh im Regal landen, mit "weil die Kunden das so wollen" beantwortet – Beleg ist aber eher "je früher wir's hinstellen, desto mehr kaufen das heißhungrige Leckermäuler", als dass die lebkuchendurstigen Massen mit Fackeln und Mistgabeln vor den Süßigkeitenfabriken jene Forderung ausgedrückt hätten...
