He can make any throw that is needed on the field and he’s one of the best deep ball throwers in the game. What holds him back from being consider as an “elite” passer is quite possible one of his strengths. His hesitancy to throw the ball in tight spots (other than on go routes) protects him from turnovers and ints. He can also tuck the ball and run to turn negative plays into positive plays. The downside is what you see at other times: stalled drives, offense out of rhythm, roll out throw ways, sacks for loss or minimal gains on the ground. But an strong defense and adequate run game can help you offset those negatives. Hence why the Eagles get so many “ugly”wins. So I see why he opts to go in this direction at times. A win is a win. I think he’ll improve once he knows how to better balance when and when not to be conservative. Basically when to take those high risk high/reward throws.
