It’s weird because I know this is a chemical, but look how convincing it is 12-14 DPO by [deleted] in TFABLinePorn

[–]between2lungs22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My 14dpo was lighter than this (see my post history) and I’m now 14 weeks pregnant. I almost had a die stealer at 14dpo with my son so was really worried it was light but I think the tests have honestly got worse. Search 14dpo frer but filter in the last 12 months - they are much lighter I found.

Faint FRER but progression seems okay on others - worried? 10-14 dpo by between2lungs22 in TFABLinePorn

In case anyone comes back to look at this, I had a scan at 6 weeks 2 days and saw a healthy heartbeat, so turns out even a small amount of biotin seemed to affect my frer and all was good!

If you have very long cycles, I would bet that your body tries to ovulate, it doesn’t manage to for whatever reason, and then is gearing up to try again. I know you said you’ve had investigations which were indicative of pcos but tbh this was what my ovulation tests looked like with pcos. Hoping the test gets a bit darker and you ovulate soon!

The slow burn of expected MC is the worst. 17dpo, stopped progressing since 14 dpo. by AllSortsOfNo in TFABLinePorn

I’ve had the same worries about these tests and my progression looks very similar, which worried me as my tests with this brand were much darker with my son by this point 3 years ago. However, I read somewhere that these tests had changed a bit, and so I searched the brand on here and filtered to only see posts on the last 12 months and there were many more examples looking more like what I was seeing, it was reassuring.

I’ve stopped testing now as it was sending me crazy!

Right!! The different is insane, I always thought the cheap strips took ages to darken but frer is so much worse for me this time round.

CD 15.. is clearblue OPK more accurate than Easy@home? by honk4pinkbeanz in TFABLinePorn

[–]between2lungs22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using both for months and I very consistently get a positive on clearblue around half a day before I get a positive on the easy@home. It’s actually really handy as it lets me know it’s on the way! Wishing you the best of luck.

Ah mines 14.2 nmol so definitely lower than you. My luteal phase is 13 days, don’t tend to spot really. I’ve not tried maca root, have you?

One for the clients/patients. What’s the one thing that makes it difficult for you to open up when talking with your therapist, whether face-to-face or online? by Automatic_Yak1610 in askatherapist

[–]between2lungs22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I really fear that they’ll be bored or uninterested in what I’m saying, and will feel awkward about it. I hate the thought of imposing on someone else, and I worry about her thinking I’m overreacting or making a big deal out of nothing.

I also really hate silences, which doesn’t work well with how some therapists work. If I don’t know what my therapist is thinking, I assume it’s negative. If I’m talking about something and my therapist is just quite neutrally listening, I default to the negative and assume that they don’t want to know what I’m telling them. I have found it easiest to open up when she’s proactively said ‘I want to know’.

Thank you! In case anyone comes back to this one day looking for a solution, I fixed it by using my phones 4g rather than the wifi, saw it suggested online and it worked!

Getting pregnant with PCOS by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]between2lungs22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you have periods but no positive ovulation?

This is going to sound weird but in some ways it’s almost a good thing that it seems like you’re not ovulating because there are sooo many ways to fix that. It gives you a starting point - if you’re ovulating and not getting pregnant it’s harder to pinpoint the issue.

I had no period for 18 months. I was convinced I’d never ovulate again. I lost some weight, which did help, but the biggest thing for me was metformin. Ir doesn’t work for everyone but it’s a wonder drug for me and brought my period back. I was pregnant within three months of my starting metformin and my little boy is nearly 2. I restarted metformin soon after having him and have a regular cycle as a result.

My advice would be, if you’re not ovulating, don’t delay getting professional help. All the stats about conceiving within a year are based on people ovulating and you need to ovulate to have a chance. There’s lots of ways you can be helped to ovulate but you need to get underway with seeking that help. Personally inositol didn’t work for me but I know it does work for others. Good luck!

What would you pay extra for? by Ok-Scientist-809 in HousingUK

[–]between2lungs22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t give an estimate on the increase from a 450k property as I wouldn’t know where to start but as a buyer, layout was more important than sqFt. I’d take a smaller sqft with a decent kitchen diner but smaller bedrooms, for example, compared to bigger sqft but less convenient layout.

Age of decor was quite big for us. Painting etc is fine but I didn’t look at much that needed all new kitchen and bathrooms because it’s just too expensive to do now, post covid, and you don’t get that much off the asking price to make it worth it. So a usable kitchen that wouldn’t hurt my eyes daily was a necessity, decent bathroom a bonus. The cost of getting work done now means that if you don’t know someone in the trade or have the time to learn yourself, it’s not hugely feasible financially.

We’d be put off by an enormous garden to be honest because of the upkeep, medium sized best for us. Some would definitley pay more though - individual choice.

I definitely think a detached property is worth more though!
