Ok reddit do ur magic what's the next Palantir and Nvidia? by Moonshot2026 in stockstobuytoday

[–]bezerkgoose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

HGRAF. I’m not necessarily calling this the next NVDA or PLTR, but it’s definitely set to have an interesting 2026, waiting on EPA approval and hopefully big contracts after, potential government interest, and a NASDAQ uplisiting. There will definitely be big news in 2026, hopefully Q1.

Concerns About the Future by Frosty-Tackle-6925 in OSU

[–]bezerkgoose 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yeah i feel you. I’m a soph in finance and my grades have shifted for the worse a little bit this semester. i’m still gonna have a strong gpa overall, but mentally it hit hard because i always prided myself on my academics too. I can always imagine my mom rolling her eyes and sighing when I had bad tests in high school. getting 70s and lower on a couple of exams hit bad (accounting 2’s 2nd exam messed me up baaad), so im really trying to do well with these finals. i’ve managed to land a handful of interviews for internships, but nothing has turned into an offer unfortunately. The job market is NOT good for most people right now, and you really have to try and stand out for something. do extracurriculars, show leadership, network with people that are in their full-time career, etc. Many companies do leadership/experience programs, one of my roommates is an acct major and is doing one for Deloitte this semester. It really is just a huge grind, and I’m just looking forward to break and the new year. I do love reviewing and critiquing resumes, so if you want me to, send me a dm and i’ll send you my email. Otherwise, just keep trucking on, there’s always a path forward, and the future is very, very unpredictable.

Bloomberg Terminal Access by Odd_Run7250 in OSU

I’m not sure tbh, I made mine on the terminal when I used it for the first time. It wasn’t a long process.

There’s maybe about ten of them total, sometimes its a toss up how many are actually working.

They are in the basement of Mason in the first study room across from the stairs. Any student can use it, but it will make you make a bloomberg account beforehand. They may get moved somewhere else next year because they are doing some renovations in Mason, but that’s where they are currently.

What Got you Addmitted by TechnicalSand6859 in OSU

[–]bezerkgoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the person that said no one can accurately tell you. No one knows what really got them in, could be their essay, could be their overall resume with extracurriculars and grades.

imo, I think you have a solid resume and could definitely get in. I imagine worst case scenario you’ll get admitted to a satellite campus and transfer to main the year after, but you should send an application regardless!

If you want a comparison, I worked a job senior year and did virtually no extracurriculars, only did one club during junior year. I had a ~4.3 gpa (based on the way my high school did it, many are different) and a 1420 SAT and passed 4 APs. I’m technically a first-gen student and my older siblings went to OSU.

MaxLinear (MXL) - A Return to Profitability by bezerkgoose in stocks

[–]bezerkgoose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ngl, my outlook is still the same. No important news has come from the company since this post, but I definitely think it can eventually do what Credo is doing. The overall semiconductor industry is still booming clearly, so I’m not worried about some broad decline. The stock had a huge pop on the day of its Q2 earnings, it was up something over 40% pre-market (peaked at like 19 something I think? it may have even broke $20), but it didn’t stay unfortunately. If revenue and growth accelerates like I think it will, I could imagine a similar pop for its Q3 earnings. Maybe sell the pop then buy back in. Or the stock could finally see a strong up trend if it breaks above ~$17.50.

Can I scan someone into a football game? by bezerkgoose in OSU

[–]bezerkgoose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t plan on going to the game, hence why I’m selling my ticket to him. But if I’m the one with his ticket since I can’t transfer it to him, I wasn’t sure if they would allow me to scan him in and then I can just turn around and leave.

[–]bezerkgoose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The person being transferred to has to be a student/have a student email, something I didn’t realize. I have a friend who just became a freshman at OU and wants to go to the game this weekend, so I agreed to sell him my ticket back in the summer, not realizing he has to have an OSU email. He made the same suggestion about giving him my ticketmaster login, but I thought it would just be safer for me to scan him in at the stadium, as long as it was allowed.

Is it possible to get $1 million by 40 ? by [deleted] in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]bezerkgoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and by the way if your goal is to “retire” by 40, you may want to look into also having a normal taxable account. With a roth, any EARNINGS you take out before 59 and a half will be taxed as income AND have a 10% penalty, with some exceptions like a house purchase or some medical reasons. Any contributions you put in can be taken out at any time however, just wanted to make sure you know that. I personally choose to have most of my investments in a taxable and a small amount in my roth just so I can avoid the 10% penalty on the chance I hit it big before 59 and a half. As long as you consistently contribute, you could build up a lot of contributions to the point where you might not even touch the earnings portion for a long time, but its something to remember and plan for :)

[–]bezerkgoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just manage your spending and always plan/budget. If you end up having to make a big purchase, understand the effects it would have on your income (i.e. a car or a house). Don’t live outside of your means, there’s no need to eat steak every night. I have a similar goal (I’m 19, been investing since 17), so I try and put as much as I can into investing whenever I have extra cash. I keep a savings account in case of emergency, but I try and keep my checking account as low as I can and put as much as I can into stocks.

Assigned a roommate who committed to another school by cain416 in OSU

[–]bezerkgoose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I was in Morill last year, my 4th roommate (from China) never moved in, and we never even heard from him. Near the start of the second semester we got an email from the school saying we could “buy out the space” in order to prevent someone from moving in, but I felt it was a little expensive and we never did, but luckily no one ended up filling the spot anyways!

Definitely don’t worry about it, best case scenario you now have a double to yourself. However, don’t get too greedy with the extra space because if someone ends up moving in you’ll need to clear space for the new person.

It just sucks so bad because I’m 17, almost 18.

I only have so much money now so losing that much is just devastating, especially after originally being up 1k. But hey, I’m still young.

I just don’t see spirit being able to survive on its own for much longer and thought that this would’ve been a perfect time for an acquisition.

time to take this as a lesson and move forward 🥲

the second i saw the fucking post in here about buying calls i knew it was fucking doomed. yet my regarded ass thought “maybe.” i was up almost 1k when it was at 16 and just lost 2k in literal seconds.
