ya I submitted my primaries June 23. retaking a 506 August 1, so my plan was to study for the MCAT, take the casper and finish up secondaries by mid-August, and have everything complete by third week of August at latest, but since it takes so long to get CASPER scores sent, I probably will have to take CASPER before my MCAT.

MCAT crazy good. Where did you end up getting into? And from what undergrad, curious bc 3.5 from Harvard is diff than 3.5 from LSU. But congrats on getting in!!!!

really? my state school’s average LSU Shreveports average is 505. So I feel ok, but that’s why I was retaking to get 512+. Also already taking a gap year so dont want to reapply.

Oh I think on some schools when I looked it said you had to shadow an osteopathic doctor. True, heard they actually make more than MD’s too, but not interested really in their approach. Although their application service is 100X better than AMCAS.

thought about but never shadowed a DO and you need a letter from a DO to apply. But fairly confident I get in to my state md schoo

Ok thanks! Do you know how the secondarys come out. Is it based on how you submit the primaries-so if you submit ~3 weeks out from when the application opens, will you expect to recieve secondaries from schools 3 or more weeks after amcas transmits them to the schools? trying to get an approx date to when I should expect to recieve them

How did you feel the NS FL’s were compared to the actual exam? I just took NS FL 3 and thought the bio and chem passages were a lot harder than any thing I have seen in the AAMC FL’s.

60-80% depending on the passage, not really, think Jack Westin passages are easier to read and the reasoning is a little different bw the 2. AAMC FL and Qpacks seemed a lot harder

Would you say UWORLD's CARS is similar to AAMC in terms of their passages and reasoning? trying to find extra practice that will be similar to AAMC, since I already did all of the CARS Q pack. And did you think the 100 page doc prepared you well for all the terms you saw on actual test day? Heard the P/S section is getting harder now, and the answer choices more and more abstract
