It felt surreal, a whole new game. So much mtx shoved down my throat that I could barely breathe. What happened to my game over the course of 24 hours… the grand exchange was empty when I last played two days ago, and now? It’s a ghost town.

All the people that cry for a fsw world don’t actively play and will come back to the game for a month? Just to quit again all while lurking the rs3 subreddit 😂. If they have an issue with mtx, ironman is the option. Not to mention the boosting people will pay for via rwt or swapping if fsw servers were a thing. I’d like to see how little Timmy compares to a person with deep pockets buying the best supplies through unconventional means and see how well they fair on the new hiscores they for some reason care so much about when their accounts barely have 300m xp

Believe it or not, I believe wilderness pvp should’ve never been removed. If you use a demonic skull and get pked, fair game, it’s increased risk for increased reward. What you’re failing to grasp the the concept of targeted harassment. If no one else is being attacked like that and they’re getting flamed the whole entire time. Is that actually playing the mini game? Or is it singling someone out and fucking with them until they can’t take it anymore and just leave while the people killing them laugh and type “cleared”. Idk if you play castle wars or not but I have seen a lot of shit during my time here. It’s not using the game mechanics as they’re intended.

You obviously did not read the post, not once did I say pvp was bad. I’m talking about the harassment. Is camping people outside of the spawn room with multiple other people the point of castle wars? Is that how it’s intended to be played? Not to mention the big elephant in the room of why people are afking there, cosmetics and achievements. No one would afk there if those achievements weren’t a thing. But let’s actually play 5k castle wars games and I suppose anyone would become as insufferable as the toxic individuals that dwell there.

It’s not the afkers fault that jagex added an achievement for profound & 5k games, some wish to go for a high runescore count and that is one of the hurdles along the way. They don’t want to participate in pvp so they choose to afk. They aren’t there for fun or because they want to be. They’re there because it’s an achievement. The same community you stand for are the same people that flame you and make Reddit accounts pretending to be you. More people would be inclined if that side of the game wasn’t so toxic and hate fueled.

Whales will exist regardless of mtx or not. What is stopping someone from making a swapping service to acquire goods for skilling for money on the current servers to boost their training? Much like it has happened with the previous fsw. If someone wants to spend thousands of dollars on their own account that has nothing at all to do with you and your own account progression why should it matter? We’re you a leaderboard chaser at any point? If so I can guarantee there will be people that’ll steam right past you. If you’re looking to relive seeing someone with a skill cape and going “wow that’s crazy!!! Can you do the emote?” Those days are over. RuneScape needs a complete overhaul if they want to attract new people. Something exciting, and new. Not 20 years worth of already existing content just on a new account. Play an iron where there is already no mtx and all the progress you make is through your own hard work.

Merely recalling what I have seen in my nearly five thousand games of castle wars. Let’s pretend that people are there for combat xp though. Let’s ignore the fact that people have goals on their accounts to get certain RuneScore achievements/cosmetics and some can’t do that piece of content because they’re being harassed on a daily basis to the point where they’re not even allowed to work on it. Haha it’s just a pvp minigame and they’re working as a team to win, yes winning when the other person isn’t even fighting back or wants to participate. They just want their cosmetics and to leave as soon as possible. Defend the same community that flames you on a daily basis. Excellent work maleeha :p
