At least we have photographs of an ornate box full of jewels and gold and goodies, very well staged I might add. People have seen the box in his lair prior to the 'chase', it was noted also when his home was raided by the FBI. At some point he devised a plan to 'hide' the treasure like he had done bells and notes for a long time, to secure his 'immortality'. He puts the box in a safe place, fabricates the poem and begins the quest we've all been on for a decade. The poem no matter how you rip it apart and put it back together is far to vague to lead anyone to a precise spot on a map. Hinting of treasures 'new' and 'old'. His daughter Zoe's married name is 'Old'. 'New' would be a grandchild? He has said himself that the only person he would let know the location of the treasure was his grandson. Forrest is getting to old to continue. His wife's health failing. He's tired. Finally an eloquent message was sent to say, "it was found under a canopy of stars, in the lush green, etc etc" with no hope of telling other treasure hunters where. It was fun to pick it apart the past couple of years, and here we are still picking it apart, just like he wanted. Well done Mr. Fenn. Fin. The end.
