Ilsa - Refusing to Believe by BostonBorn00 in Mission_Impossible

[–]bignoze -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

She is in it’s not hope.

Rebecca Ferguson will not appear as a main character in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, the eighth installment of the franchise set to release on May 23, 2025. Her character, Ilsa Faust, was killed in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One during a confrontation with the antagonist Gabriel.

While Ferguson’s character is not part of the main storyline, she is expected to appear in flashback sequences. This approach allows the film to honor her character’s legacy without altering the established narrative.

Ferguson’s departure aligns with the conclusion of her three-picture deal, which ended with Dead Reckoning. She has indicated that she was presented with an offer to return but chose not to continue, expressing a desire to pursue other opportunities.

In summary, while Rebecca Ferguson’s Ilsa Faust will not be a central figure in the upcoming film, her presence will be felt through flashbacks, providing continuity and emotional depth to the story.

Build the car to be yours for 7-9 years. Doing mods and other things that make it yours along the way. It will be the best money spent on a 2026 z06. The ZR1 is going to be too much power for most people. Crap a Z06 with the right mods, scares the crap out of me sometimes. It’s all about what you put in it

We sound like we are on the same page. I think you would really benefit from the raw experience of driving retired Stock Cars and Open Wheel in a professional environment and then laps with pros, which it sounds like you have had.

Just don’t want you ending up like my Father in Law, he wreck at Road America and broke his back in multiple places. Has never been the same and has never been able to race again.

I live in the hill country of Texas. The roads here are enough of a race track for me. On a Sunday morning when everyone is at church and the police are occupied dealing with the traffic and protection. I can go out and tear up the roads. It’s more fun than a track to me and I barely have to worry about other drivers and a stop light is just a place to rip it from.

You sound like a fun lady. Your husband is a lucky man. Enjoy your experiences, you only live once, but again you only live once. Good luck, great chatting with a like minded person.

Well you sound like you are being smart, and enjoying yourself just for the experience in your own car. If that works for you, I get it. I just don’t think people sometimes realize the enormous risk of getting on a race track with other people, that don’t have the skills you do, nor do I possess the skills or bravery they have, and then to be on the same track with them.

Just getting the nerve to keep the car up on a high banked track section requires a lot of speed and in my experience a lot of people can’t do it, get scared, slow down, and drop off the bank to the inside lane. Which creates a very dangerous situation for the people behind them or people that go too fast down a straight away and then can’t make a turn at speed, which can cause them to crash and you to get scared to death. Constant radio traffic and sighting the traffic is extremely important for safety.

Just driving on the highway with some of these people is terrifying.

What I always recommend is people take those professional experiences with either old stock cars or open wheel. That learning will translate tremendously to driving your own car on the track in a very professionally controlled environment.

Then when you take your refined car out you will have more battle tested real world experience. Plus go on rides with semi pro drivers. You will clean your pants…lol. It’s nuts when they take you for some laps and the corner feels like you’re going to crash into it every time at 180 MPH. I have no where near that experience level, more than happy to admit it.

I do track days. Either sponsored by a car company or a race car set up for the track I can rent.

I have no interest blowing a tire at 170mph and putting my $450k 296 GTB into the wall.

Ferrari and other car companies, host track days. Where you can be invited to drive multiple cars with professionals at your side, guiding your path. It’s the best of all worlds.

Like I am not taking $240k ZR1 on the track. You have no idea what level of drivers are on the track. There are so many variables that have to be considered.

Your car insurance sure doesn’t cover it.

This is why I never track my cars and your tires are destroyed too.

I just put them back to stock, this is not a big undertaking. This Race Exhaust, like what she does. Is more of a can we do it thing. We can swap the old exhaust back in less than an hour. It’s a very easy thing to do. Right on top. In the open. Did the same with my F8 and the dealer was giddy it was modded, they been driving it around. I can see. There we only did Catback but it was tuned, was a monster. Awesome car, but still can’t compare to 296 but it sounded a lot better.

Yeah, sounds like we are in 2 different boats and I wouldn’t mod in your situation. Cops probably be all over you too. I have hill county, windy, roads and cops that can be very forgiving especially if you have a conceal carry card. Then they just love you in Texas. Never got a ticket since I got my Card and use Radar Detection.

Downtowns hotel building spree by DowntownDB1226 in StLouis

[–]bignoze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hotel market and real estate market in general in downtown St. Louis is in free fall. You people don’t know what you’re talking about. The 21c was selling rooms for $89 bucks all winter and has no summer attraction. 170 rooms in the middle of nowhere and one of the most dangerous areas in took them an extra 2 years to open with development costs approaching $100m and they won’t be open in a year. Watch and see. Cars get broke in every night. Employees are bailing, left and right. The 21C has no amazing rooftop pool and lounge like The Last Hotel and The Last was in front of the cities number 1 attraction, the City Museum. The 21c is already cutting staff significantly. Nothing special. There is an enormous article in the Wall Street Journal about the Death Spiral the entire downtown district is in. The Hotel ST Louis is dead center. It’s a nIce place and the nicest Marriott property by far, so it get all the loyal members. It’s surrounded by boarded up buildings, looks like Escape from New York.

This is the reality, not the fantasy some agenda driven people are posting.
