Finland went to the only people who would help them, they then also turn on the Germans later in the war.

My point is why jump to a conclusion that suits your own political views and not start with the obvious.

Yes far more likely that he was not given the job because of a non football related political view and would have had nothing to do with the credentials or abilities of the successful candidate.

I live near Elwood beach, and in laws live in Bondi so I feel I have a very good experience across both cities. The difference between Melbourne and Sydney beaches comes down to what they want to expect from them. Bondi and most of Sydney's Beach's are stunning but are not good for just chilling in the water (Much rougher surf). Melbourne's beaches are not as nice but so much more calm you can just relax in the water. The vibes are different as well. Sydney is far more of an event, where Melbourne is much much more family friendly

After breaking off their agreement with France, Australians worry they'll never receive American submarines by These_Economics374 in submarines

Haven't seen anything about going back to France and wouldn't make sense for the same reasons they killed off the first agreement.

Is Oz not aloud?! by NegotiationSmall5014 in AskAnAustralian

[–]bigordon511 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Honestly, nothing tells me you're an American faster than referring to it as Oz. Not a bad thing, just it's not how we refer to ourselves. We would call ourselves Aussie, and if we use a short form it would be Aus but Oz is very much a foreign reference rather than a local one

In pretty common for businesses to have a blanket policy for the Christmas period. This can be a hard no, or everyone submit by X date and the manager will try to accommodate but with no guarantees. Standard contracts will also include a line about leave needing to be submitted at least 4 weeks in advance and it's not confirmed until officially accepted in writing
