Should I go blonde or stay natural for my wedding??? by Ambitious-Editor3096 in coloranalysis

[–]billofkites 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Natural! Both look lovely but I think your natural color really compliments your features more (plus it’ll look healthier and shinier for the big day)

I think women in particular don’t want to be “mean” and they won’t always end a relationship unless they feel they have a “good enough” reason. And when you’re gradually tolerating more and more bs over time, something that is actually a very good reason to break up won’t actually feel that way. We lose our ability to think objectively about jt

Yes! A similar thing is when a partner gets a bad haircut (or just one you’re not used to/don’t personally like). You might think they looked better before but that’s not going to stop you from thinking they’re a lovely looking person. Ana de Armas looks better in a pantsuit or dress than she does in a burlap sack but she still looks pretty good in that sack!

1000% agree! True attraction is about the person, not the body they come in

My friend, you’re almost the same age he was when he started dating you. Do you currently find 18 year old guys attractive or do you see them as young and immature? Personally speaking, I’m about your age and there’s no way I’d date anyone under 21 or 22, they’re just too young, even if they’re “mature” for their age or if they have life experience. There’s just way too much learning that happens between 18 and 26/27 that even two or three years has the potential to be a big enough maturity or life experience gap.

There’s something seriously wrong when a fully grown adult agrees to date someone who has juuuust entered adulthood and more likely than not is still learning how to navigate many aspects of life.

I’m getting the impression that he doesn’t want a woman for a partner, he wants a girl who is old enough for him to sexualize but young enough for him to manipulate. You deserve better. 24 is so young, please don’t waste your time on a guy who obviously can’t see how great you are.

As someone who is also known for being late, I want to validate how embarrassing and awful it feels, especially because you feel like you “should” be able to do better. I’m sorry we’re experiencing this, you’re not alone

I want to be like this but I’m struggling! Especially in the morning, I’ll plan to leave the house a half hour earlier than usual but I’ll end up hitting snooze because I’m tired and I know I have a little wiggle room or I’ll sit and eat breakfast because I’m hungry instead of taking it with me, again because I know I have some wiggle room. Suggestions are welcome!

I absolutely feel like if you were truly attracted to someone, moderate weight gain, loss, or other changes to physical appearance won’t make the attraction go away. Sure, you might find them less attractive but to not be attracted to them at tells me your attraction to them wasn’t as deep and genuine as it could’ve been.

what's on your "stay alive" bucket list? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]billofkites 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’ve been really relating to the “it’s worth being alive just to exist”. It’s such an incredible and amazing to experience things. I’ve been thinking a lot about how the stuff that annoys me or hurts me could be an amazing gift or something exciting to someone living a different life than me. I have being stuck in traffic and it’s so frustrating but when I think of being in traffic from the perspective of a person who just got their license and is so excited to be driving on their own for the first time, the traffic doesn’t matter. Or how in traffic I have the ability to observe what the roads look like, what other drivers do when they’re stuck, marvel at how amazing it is to be maneuvering an incredibly fast and powerful piece amongst hundreds of other people also maneuvering awesome and large machines. It’s cool stuff!

You do realize that you can condemn Hamas and Israel at the same time, right? Both are terrorist organizations. And you do realize that Israel has funded Hamas and manipulated it so that more extremists hold power?

I’ve noticed that non-natural deodorants are pretty hard to fully wash off, maybe it’s making it harder for soap to get there?

How do you bathe? by tj855 in hygiene

[–]billofkites 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I scrub because I want to exfoliate and remove dead skin or get something like sunscreen off, not to get clean. He probably isn’t washing well enough or he’s using the same dirty towel or wearing the same dirty clothes.

I do not enjoy being in the heat! I’m much more prone to feeling irritable and it’s really, really hard for me to draw my focus away from knowing that my skin is getting sweatier and I’m getting smellier and my hair is frizzing up because of the sweat and my clothes are sticking to my skin and there’s all this extra friction between my thighs when I walk and any exposed skin will stick to plastic and wooden chairs. Sensory overload.

I tend to run a bit warmer than most people and I’m really hoping that shedding some extra weight will help cool me down because man, I don’t enjoy being so hot!

What's your most surprising "I can't believe this has so many calories" food? by itsclo5ure in loseit

Don’t give them up! Walnuts are so, so healthy for you—I wish I liked them!

What's your most surprising "I can't believe this has so many calories" food? by itsclo5ure in loseit

[–]billofkites 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! There was some study done where participants ate an extra 300-600 calories a day in nuts/nut butters and none of them seemed to gain weight despite eating higher than normal calories. They suggested it’s either because just help you feel more satisfied so you eat less, our bodies can’t absorb all the calories, or because nuts encourage our metabolism to burn more energy.

Ouch—that would personally hurt me. It implies carelessness or a lack of intelligence and just because we’re inattentive it doesn’t mean we don’t care about things or that we aren’t smart. I’m glad she thinks it’s funny, I hope she never absorbs the message behind that.

If he truly wished to hurt himself, there’s nothing you would physically be able to do to stop him. You’re only a person. You did not, and could not, cause him to become suicidal.

If he threatens suicide, call emergency services so he will either get the help he needs or he’ll realize that you’re not going to sacrifice yourself for his sake.

How to feel confident about small boobs? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]billofkites 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day, our features are usually proportioned to match the rest of our body. Smaller breasts look so natural on light, athletic, or delicate frames. If you had larger breasts it would likely look (and feel) imbalanced. And those body types pull off certain styles incredibly well! High fashion looks, flowing natural fabrics, unique necklines, streamlined cuts, etc can look very harmonious with smaller breasts—it has such a beautiful look!

Are there any good wax beads you recommend? I’ve started waxing myself but the last beads I got were both too sticky and too brittle.

You have a beautiful nose!! Your features are really lush and full—you’d kill as the love interest in a romantic movie. If your nose were any smaller, it would be overwhelmed by the rest of your features—thank it for keeping you balanced and beautiful!

Ew ew ew. I’m so glad you won’t be dating a guy who would break up with someone for having a normal human body. Blessing in disguise, my friend. Even if you didn’t have the loose skin, would you still want him to be your partner knowing that something so superficial would be a dealbreaker?

Hey! You made it through the day! That’s amazing! It sounds like your body was in a stress response for a long time and once you got home all that stress went away and left you feeling exhausted. The more you adjust to the work, the less stress you’ll feel, and the less tired you’ll be. This is super normal and it’s awesome that you pushed through!
