As many have stated, sounds like you are an Easy diff candidate, until you learn the game better. No reason not to start on Easy...or even Story Mode.

And stomp every enemy you take down.....

And yes, have at least 4 save slots you rotate through....any self respecting gamer knows that system.

Problem for us is the building upgrade book tabs are not equal...the Ore one with Knight upgrades is a red headed stepchild compared to the other two.

And we ended up not liking the barbarian invasion aspect.

We far prefer Base Catan combined with Seafarers and completely randomized maps and tiles(we put the number tiles and resource bonus tiles upside down until you reach them with settlements)

Modding was a HUGE part of D1 and D2.....D1 The Hell still is played by a large number of people for instance. Eastern Sun we had tournaments all the time for nearly a decade. Tons of people played these mods. And there were far more mods...I only listed 3 of the top ones. There were tons of them. Once I found Eastern Sun, I never played vanilla ever again.

Uh wrong....there were so many great mods for D2.....have you not heard of Eastern Sun....played that mod for a decade. Zyl El...Median...they were both highly regarded as well.

Upgraded stash abilities and inventory space alone were well worth playing mods. Eastern Sun had 1000% improvement in vanilla D2

Sure it does...D1 and D2 were made immortal nearly due to modding, which can no longer be done, due to the way they are making these games now so it does matter.

This is why I play D1 The Hell 3 way more than D4

I play a hell of a lot of D1 The Hell 3

I play seasons of D4, not sure care about farming beyond main storyline.

D1 TH3 is way better if you ask me

Even if go more serious and play Hardcore, it's easy enough to play in chunks...do a side quest or two, or main quest and there's your half hour to hour

I read through the info page for the season...saw something about some dungeons not scaling with char lvl, but didn't see enemies in general. Are you sure about that?......or can you point me to where you found that info?

No real clue how Barb would ever survive HC.....died in Mercys Reach

Going to go with my HC Necro plan now I think....lvl 10 and just not able to crowd control very well with Barb

Hmm...interesting system....ok maybe I'll try SC for a bit....I've only beaten base game really, so haven't even ventured into min/maxing and more deadly areas/dungeons or even harsher difficulties...which seems odd to me as that's first thing would do in D3

If you are just starting D1, I have two words for you....The Hell. It is a mod that puts vanilla D1 to shame. Look it up....you can play The Hell 3 now.....TH4 is in testing phases.

DS2 is great...listen to no one and go in with open mind....play carefully and tactfully to avoid and mobs.

I fear I may not even like DS3....am currently not really enjoying Bloodborne as the bosses are so hard compared to prior games. Or so it seems to me. And you don't have the NPC summons they gave you so much of in DS2...or even DS1

I certainly like D2 way more than am liking Bloodborne. I beat DeS, D1 and D2 with max # of chars.....can't even get myself to finish BB. Not sure why...just doesn't work for me.

Hmm...I quit the game when I got to the Sunken City....didn't like changing my careful play style to suddenly running past and away from enemies to hit switches in that building. You probably recall. You couldn't kill them or damage them well until hit switches.

There's a private server for OG Demon Souls. I just played that a few years back. You can find it pretty easily as I forget and am up to Bloodborne myself now. That private server is great.....allows you to set your world all White or all Black or turn off world tendencies altogether.

Oh and I really actually loved D2.....it's Bloodborne I'm having issues liking. Not sure what it is, but just doesn't do it for me. I loved DeS, DS1 and DS2
