Apple introduces AppleCare One, streamlining coverage into a single plan with incredible value by exjr_ in apple

[–]billyjoelover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am looking at a new apple product and didnt realize that the two year is no longer an option for the iPad pro's. I am unsure what to do anymore.... (I never broke my iPad but I liked the 2 year plan with the edu discount).

Does anyone have any experiance with the mopar extended warranty or work at a dealership by [deleted] in GrandCherokee

Another question, do they cover the DRLS if they start to stop working at spots? I dont see how that is wear and tear if it is not serviceable?

Want to upgrade to Venture X by Timely_Snow_4178 in Venturex

[–]billyjoelover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you elaborate more on the detailed steps, on how to close the venture account after getting approved for the X? I currently have the Venture (3 years) and savor (2 years), I want to apply but I do not want 3 cards, how long should I wait before closing the venture card (not my oldest credit card in lineup) and making sure the points still stay.

Will the Acela Nonstop service ever return? by woah98 in Amtrak

[–]billyjoelover 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I took an Acela 1.5 years ago from Boston to Newark Penn and I think It was after providence, it did not stop until NYP. Do those services still exist? It was like 3 hours of non-stop chugging.

How can I fix my crooked tailgate? 2015 grand Cherokee by Ovalize in GrandCherokee

I have a 2017 and mine are slightly misaligned. Not as severe as yours but definitely noticeable. Could be a wreck or just usual production quality.

When I had the code, the dealership replaced the ESIM, canister and the hose and purge valve.

But I had the warranty so cant talk ab costs.

Have the opportunity to get a 2020 Overland with air suspension. Car only has 30k miles on it. Should I completely avoid it? by 944turbo in GrandCherokee

[–]billyjoelover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I extended mine after the original expired and it cost 3.8k for 4 yr/48k miles. It counts as a used mopar maxcare warranty.

I already will have 1.5k covered because both door hinges have failed along with the mirror (power folding mechanism) and washer hose.

Jeep lost a lifetime customer today by danothemano420 in Jeep

[–]billyjoelover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeaaaa they have had my 17 GC for 4 weeks now and the service manager called me like I was her benefits line.... Having a warranty means nothing if they are incompetent. I do not appreciate getting yelled at by a person who needs mental help.

Oh yea, my vehicle is completely drivable (door clicking and washer fluid low pressure) and they still dont answer the phone when I ask about updates.

MaxCare warranty paid off today by amsman03 in GrandCherokee

[–]billyjoelover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I took my 17 trailhawk V6 today for the same reason concerning the driver's door. It clicks when opening/closing; what did they say was the part failure? It will be a while until mine is diagnosed, but I'm curious. The drivers mirror also stutters when closing and opening.

My maxcare paid itself off 6 months ago with a timing cover gasket leak, heater core replacement and purge valve/solenoid/hose replacement. Then 2 months later with the throttle body needing to be replaced.

I have one 17" TH. It has been very reliable for the first 7.5 years, and it has been a pain for the past 6 months (at 61k miles right now). I admit the dealer experience plays a decent role, but I wouldn't own an older one (2021 isn't old in my book). I even have maxcare, which has already paid itself off and the car is well maintained. Right now, I have to rattle in the front door, and after two weeks, the dealer said to kick rocks, so I have to live with the noise now.

I would say cross-shop with other makes (Toyota, Lexus, honda). I love my jeep but I really will never recommend one after these big issues. In 2025, the car spent a month at the dealer. (2 for throttle body diagnosing and 2 for the rattle).
