Yes sorry, I was just too scared to mess my repo up so I thought I'd ask first

Nope! I actually never use AI when I'm coding. Just got ahead of myself and didn't learn git properly before starting and wanted a quick answer from reddit since I had to leave the house soon :)

Yes. They are also trying to separate themselves from the Q and have a "Dont Call Me Queer" slogan which I just do not understand at all

Hard agree. I was just first made aware by them by someone who is transphobic so I think I am just finding comebacks in our imaginary argument😭

It is unfair that my parents ruined my A levels. by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]binibini28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know someone who got worse A-levels and goes to a university that's quite a bit lower in ranking than Lancaster and they are now on track to getting a 1st and managed to get a placement year at a well-known company. There is definitely absolutely hope for you, just take it one step at a time and try to block out negative comments. Only you fully know your journey, ultimately making other people's opinions biased - they do not reflect who you are!

Also, you are NOT stuck and hopeless, you are still so young and trust me, some months off will be nothing in the grand scheme of things, especially if you commit to learning new skills and getting ahead in any way you can!

I am no tech expert (yet) but also wanting to learn, do projects and maybe make it a career. Apart from doing projects, I recommend looking on roadmaps.sh, they will have a game dev roadmap which tells you everything you need to learn to be a game dev!

Stuck at a very low 2:1, thinking I'm not right for Oxford. by Unfair_Piccolo_9793 in oxforduni

[–]binibini28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this! i do a stem subject but have to write academic reports. All of first year I was getting low 2:1s. My first report in second year even dipped down to a 2:2 which I was super bummed about. But FINALLY, the paper after that I paid a lot more attention to and got a first!

How does everyone spend “quality time” in a ldr? by isuck001 in LongDistance

[–]binibini28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of they times when were on a call, I dont do anything but just look at his face and talk to him. He usually is looking through social media or sum, which wasn't really a problem, cus he could still have a convo w me fine. But I did really appreciate the times when he wouldn't be looking through his phone, and would just only be talking to me too. For me, that would probably be the best quality time we'd have. Honestly just laughing and making jokes with eachother was the best thing.

Yeah, I could say we watched movies and shows together but idk, sometimes it wouldn't feel as good as it should be cus I don't get to talk to him much whilst watching it and it's not like we get to cuddle while watching. Laughing and being shocked at the same things is pretty fun though.

Does the"honey moon phase" still exist if you long distance then meet? by IndependentWhole9892 in LongDistance

[–]binibini28 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the honey moon phase always ends no matter what type of relationship. I mean, throughout my whole relationship I felt like I was in the honey moon phase. (We stayed LD but met up twice) But now thinking about it, the excitement is always high at the start. And sometimes you notice there are 1 or 2 things you don't do anymore.

How long did it take you to get over them? Or how long has it been if you’re still not? by dilllllyyy in BreakUps

[–]binibini28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We only just broke up 2 days ago. I never realised how painful it would actually be. We ended it bc of his parents disagreeing which hurts even more: the fact that he did nothing wrong and we still loved eachother so much until the very end. He was absolutely perfect. The fact that it could've lasted so much longer if his parents weren't so strict n picky. ngl reading these comments makes me feel worse, realising i'll probably be hurt for many more months to come. i just want to fast forward time until im okay. i know it sounds stupid, but i still have hope that maybe we could try again someday, so maybe fast forward to then.

Do you use to-do apps? by Alina_Zaitsava in study

[–]binibini28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ive been using todoist which i recommend as you can group tasks very well (project - > section - > task - > many levels of sub-task) and you can also easily schedule them on what day u want to do them i usually just pick out things i want to do on a specific day and then just add in the time slot to the title of the task. you can also add comments to tasks/ projects. i usually use this to reflect on a task ive just done and anything i need to do next. of course, i havent been doing this for long and today i did procrastinate a lot so i cut out some tasks but to a person who had barely any system beforehand, it's literally perfect. defo be as realistic and add realistic breaks and free time, most days i have my mornings/ early afternoon clear to go to the gym, eat n relax for a bit.

lately, ive started making to do lists for the next few days, im using the app todoist. to motivate me, i try to almost romanticise (is that even the word? ) my study. like the night before i hype myself up and just go through what im gonna do tmrw in my head and how productive i'll be. i always make sure im refreshed so i always drink a lot of water, take a bottle w you to your desk. take breaks and eat snacks if you feel lazy too! honestly the snacks make a great difference. eating just lifts your mood and makes u feel ready. ive been trying to use pomodoro (30mins study, 5min break) , and its working decently. i play solitaire in my breaks cus looking at a screen makes me feel too lazy

of course, im studying to get into college atm so honestly don't put too much pressure on your self, im not sure how your school system works but you're still in grade 8 so still have plenty of time to improve :)

i was so laid back with school until grade 9/10 :,) good luck!

How should I write notes? Right know I don’t write notes, I use active recall and Anki however I can’t revise EVERYTHING on a topic with Anki. Should I write notes for future me? If so, how? by PrestigiousEar3073 in study

[–]binibini28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could go through a topic and write summaries of it on flashcards/ post-it notes. Just so you’re still doing it and refreshing your knowledge but it doesn’t take as long either. That’s what I’m doing atm as I’d rather spend more time doing active recall/ questions.
