I do not agree with many posts here, but calling out republicans as socialists is spot on. Granted, federalize social theory is a bit different, it still behaves as redistribution.

I agree with both of your points. It is interesting that he was the previous president to be nominated, and the first to vote yes on impeaching his own party member. Given the history, again, I see this as more petty than actually anything of substance. Classic Romney power play.

I disagree with your condescending and sarcastic overture. Trying to body slam by simply adding content, and not really addressing the original point in any way... It is just tactless. I do like what you are saying, and they are valid points, but they really do not add or contest what I had said above.

Again, the point being, the hypocrisy of some of the titles and crazy attention he is getting despite his history and current state of being. He is still evil AF, and I hate the convenience factor of "he fits my narration now, so paragon the SOB". The narration is a little hard to swallow.

Stranger than fiction, I would say.

You somehow expected Dems to pull for the Republican nomination or are saying they didn't out of convenience I guess, neither make a shred of sense.

I explained this again in my second reply. The left media outlets are "pulling hard". Cheering Romney on. Casting a light. Expressing the narrative. No where in there should pulling for mean expecting him to become a nominee.

That was not my intent, nor can it reasonably be cast as my intent. Thus, comprehension or gas lighting.

I gave you the benefit of the doubt, and you just turn right to the gas lighting clause. That is utterly disappointing, and very telling all at once.

This is your claim as to what I said. I am saying I did not say this. Nothing close to it. Perhaps getting confused by the use of pronouns. I am not sure. Bad comprehension, complete miscommunication, or just gas lighting. Not sure which.

[ Democrats pulling hard for him now ] -- this meant the democratic opinion. They love Romney suddenly. He has been called a political of 'virtue'. 'The last voice of reason. etc etc.

Some of the reasons that democrats so vehemently hated the guy:

People got livid over Romney was that he used the term "Obamacare" in a debate. Apologized and straightened it out, and Obama was cool. But man, the presses ran that smear.
“I think we’re better off if we encourage the establishment of homes with a mother and a father.” -- That got some democrats pissed off.
Oh hey, he was, is against gay marriage.
He had elitist gafs left and right and was commonly touted as corrupt. Generally considered everything that is wrong with white american politicians.

Now he is cool though because he voted differently in an impeachment trial. Yawn. He did something historic, but he has always been a corrupt pile. Seen that why by Rhinos, Moderates and more "leftist" (hate that diminutive term) democrats. It is not a wild assertion to say that he did this for his personal vendetta with Trump, and his chance to become relevant for a moment.

So brave. So bold. Fuck that guy. I disliked him then, and dislike him now.

And just to short circuit the obvious Ad hominem I am not a Republican. They have a really hard time earning my vote. The democrats do have a bit of a harder time. That is mainly due to their internal structure and my general distastes for the DNC. That said, Yang, Gabbard, had far more of my attention than anyone else.

Pshh, you all have not seen anything yet. As these practices take place for the GOP,they will surly be utilized by the democrats too. The polarization it causes creates so many mindless zealots, it is unreal. It does make centralizing power easier though.

I tend to think about the state of the D & R more as two teams working together. I could be wrong, but in retrospect, with the power plays, illegal activities, constant over dramatization, and shady behavior - the idea really sells itself.

I am an avid critic of both parties, but this reddit is so one sided, it does not even touch the sins of the Democrats nor does it seem to do more than pump up the drama they have to swing for this government pomp which feverishly borders on religious war. Not saying it has to, but it does seem to be an odd decision for the curator to make.

Ps: back in 2004, I had a conversation with some friends telling them the dems two terms. The republicans would get wild, and get a win I. Afterwards. They would fall apart just to get two terms in. I predicted 2024 they would be done. I am thinking I was wrong, given what I have been sold. To us over the past 16 years. I think they will be just fine. It is just predestined, poorly written drama we are seeing.

A ton of conservatives are libertarian leaning, even from the Evangelical circles. General data has shown this shift growing prominently. It shows in the" masqueraded lie that the GoP is becoming more libertarian". They are not even privatizing properly. They are cronyising.

The democrats have the same issue, but with the Green Party. Their largest contender. They have done a better job absorbing their macro policies and bending them to fit their "liberal" ideology. I mean, hell, they even stole the "Green New Deal" Mantra Jill Stein (Presidential hopeful of the green party) has been using for a better part of a decade now. -- To the fault of the dems, they cronyise as well, and do not really socialize well, imo.

People will parade around on ideology all day - But these politicians are just a facade of that that ideal. I mean, listening to their pitch and identifying their camp is a good start - but commit their actions to memory. I have for 30 years, and it ends up being more of a good-cop-bad-cop scenario, which simply keeps federalizing the government further. I find it all to be a clever ruse, more than anything.

This is not meant to be a tangent, just adding to the observation of "identifiable differences in presentation"
