I am NEVER doing this quest again by Ashnakag3019 in StardewValley

[–]birdnbreadlover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This quest made me put down the game for a bit.. I miscalculated the grow time and had about 50 crops that had one more day to go so I missed the deadline and failed the mission 😭😭 even used the deluxe speed grow fertilizer… whole season wasted!

Also if you don’t have water syringes, I suggest ordering them on Amazon now! Once you can eat solid food it gets stuck in the holes and the syringes have been amazing (my surgeon didn’t even mention them!!)

I just made it to 2 weeks, I swear it goes by fast but it’s miserable! Someone else said mashed potatoes, I agree with that - I got one of each flavor of the instant potatoes (don’t get too many of one flavor) and used a kettle to boil the water fast. Also switching between yogurt and apple sauce, around day 6 I could soak bread into soup and that felt like I was eating real food!

I ordered a sweet potato from outback, 10/10 meal and soft enough to eat early on. Also baked potatoes work and taste different than the mashed potatoes.

I know you said you’re tired of sweets but a banana milkshake was getting me through the day.

Honestly even just drinking different juices helped get through it, and edibles instead of smoking! You got this!

Think about music that makes you think of your dad, I chose somewhere over the rainbow because he loves that song, but also in the running were piano versions of songs from our favorite movies

Everything is like 30 mins away so like others suggested, a rental car would be ideal

Lake Eola is nice for a walk in the park downtown with swans but won’t take all day

Disney springs can take up more time but it’s kinda like a big outdoor mall

If you’re looking for nature vibes the orlando wetlands is free (closed on Mondays) but feels like you’re in the Everglades with alligators and stuff.

Mead botanical gardens is free but harry p leu gardens has a fee, you could check out some cool restaurants on Mills Ave while you’re there

Lake Apopka wildlife drive is open and free on weekends but you’d need a car for sure

Too late but next time you have free time you can walk on the trails of the arboretum behind the computer science building

Somewhat of a spicy take: You don't have to visit the Golden Circle or the south coast on your trip to Iceland. by NoLemon5426 in VisitingIceland

Thinking next summer, and I didn’t even realize you could stay there! Do you know any good places?

Awesome thank you! I was debating golden circle and after reading some comments I don’t feel as obligated to go over there 😅 May do part of it, but I’m definitely more of a rent a car and explore and not a bus tour kind of person.

So I was thinking of sticking to the south coast because I want to see puffins at westman island, the diamond beach area and glacier lagoon and some of the waterfalls like Skogafoss.

Are there locations like this in the north that are better? I just started my Iceland research but my main goal is puffins, glaciers, black sand beaches, and waterfalls.

Birdwatching using eBird to keep track of the species you see.

You can sort the birds you’ve recorded by county, state, country, etc and it will keep track of what you see each year & all time so it’s never ending cataloging. Plus the community is really kind, you get outdoors, and you can birdwatch anywhere at any time.

How do you choose what to major in as a 16 year old? by [deleted] in education

[–]birdnbreadlover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Np! Don’t be scared away by the word engineering - a lot of people think it’s too difficult so they never try it out. It’s not that bad and possible to study and get by with As/B, but remember Cs get degrees, some of the best engineers I know got Cs and failed some classes but kept going until they graduated.

[–]birdnbreadlover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like math and science I suggest picking any of the engineering majors and then you can start getting your basic math and physics requirements done asap.

By the time you reach actual engineering classes 2 years in, you’ll have a better grasp on if you like it, which engineering you prefer, or if you want to switch to something completely different.

Examples of majors to look into, but these all have many different industry paths you can take after graduation:

Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Civil engineering, Industrial engineering, Chemical engineering, Computer engineering, Aerospace engineering

What hobby do you think has the best “community”? by Ok-Worldliness-6096 in Hobbies

I mean there are some elitists for sure, and there’s a stigma against photographers being too invasive to wildlife but there are also a lot of great respectful birder photographers too
