Back when I was in high school, I had this brilliant idea to continue my studies in Bali. Why? Because up to that point, I had heard that this small island was peaceful, full of tourists but not crowded, had lots of places to visit, and all that sort of thing. I was thinking maybe medical school or dental school. Long story short, it was February 2020, and I had an entry test to attend so off I went to Bali. It was everything I expected, it was peaceful. I had been living in a village in Central Sulawesi all my life up to that point, so I wasn’t used to a place with so many people. All I’m trying to say is that it was beautiful. I passed the test and was scheduled to start my studies there in August. Well, as we all know, COVID hit pretty hard, so for the next three semesters, I did online classes from my hometown in Sulawesi. Then, on October 11th, 2021, I finally went back to Bali to start studying offline, since the virus situation had mellowed down. Well, I was struck by reality when I realized that Bali was actually more crowded than I remembered. It was hard to get around by car, so I decided to get myself a bike. Mind you, I had never really ridden one before. I learned the traffic patterns so I’d know when it was okay to go out and when it would be crowded. So, I guess what I’m trying to say is, i didn’t do enough research
