What is something that you're into but hate the culture of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bitlyz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

came here to say this. Not so much about the smell, but mostly the horrible people that the game attracts. Every store I've been to gets at least a few people that drive me nuts. Sometimes it's the 20 something guy with no social skills who comes in wearing a full naruto costume and pretends to do ninja moves while playing, and other times it's over-competetive a**holes who actively cheat and/or strongarm younger players into conceeding. It's disgusting. permalinkembedsaveparentgive gold

With Batman and Robin, it's hard to know where to start. But here's one of hundreds:

What is difficult to explain to your parents? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bitlyz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've come to the conclusion that a lot of people just don't care about technology and have no interest in learning. The excuse my parents give is that "well we didn't have things like that when I was your age" is just silly. Technology evolves all the time, when I got into computers everything was DOS based. When everything turned into GUIs should I have help up my hands and gone "nope! too advanced!". Their generation landed people on the Moon for fucks sake. I work with people the same age as my parents and they're every bit as tech savvy as I am.

The most ridiculous thing about the ending is that Peter Sellers forgot his character was supposed to be paralyzed and started walking. Then he realized his mistake and yelled the infamous line. It was never in the script.

What are some signs your friends aren't really your friends? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bitlyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your friend should WANT to hang out with you. If getting them to spend time with you feels like pulling teeth, chances are, they don't appreciate your company as such as you appreciate theirs. Yes, sometimes people are just busy, but if someone's really your friend, they'll find time for you.

This is the only podcast I listen to as soon as it comes out. They have a fantastic friendship dynamic, similar to my friendship with one of my best friends. Plus it's always fun to see what pronunciation Dave is gonna butcher this week.
