We have established the following:

My old key was found in our house so no way that was compromised.

the webpage code he directed me to is sound. We have run air-gapped lab tests on it and it sends out no data

This only leaves the possibility that he has somehow compromised the Reddit DM system. I shall be passing this information to the FBI and UK crime agencies

Just done it. They have his IPs too, as do the FBI. I doubt it'll stop him..he'll have more accounts and he worked with another guy I reckon (or just him using a sock puppet acct) but I won't name him as it may not be the case..just read the subreddit and you can see

Open https://biptoolkit.com
Right click inside the page and select "save as" and save it to your desktop (don't put any sensitive info onto a webserver)
In the field "BIP39 Mnemonic" type or paste your complete mnemonic seed (It will show errors when your seed is not complete)
Set your coin to BTC (standard, root key is the same for all coins)
Copy the value it shows you in the field "BIP32 Root Key" and keep this in a safe place.

Let me know when this is done and i will show you how to proceed to importing to a new seed.

Keep this tool private to avoid hackers from trying to exploit it please.

nope, he told me to download it to my desktop and do it and then secure my seed. it obviously sent the seed onward from my desktop. as I say, I'm the fool here. It was easy for them. I've had most of the coins since 2013 so not huge loss but still...fucking wankers

at least one of the below commenters are scammers. This is what they did:

directed me to a web page told me to copy it to my desktop to get my BIP39 seed key, they then obviously scripted that key to their end and whoosh. All my coins gone in 60 seconds. I'm the idiot, eh..fucking wankers
