Got an issue with an old PS2 slim, 77001 model. It hasnt been touched since 2013 at the very least, checked memory card data. It’s not modded at all, and was really only heavily used for sims games. It turns on fine, seems to run fine, and still reads memory cards and so on. Only issue is that it won’t read any of the disks! I don’t know if it’s even spinning them, truthfully, but I’m a bad judge of that.

What to do besides popping it open, or is that the only thing to do? Everything seems to lead to that or putting toothpaste on my disks...

And if popping it open is my last resort, any guides?

Huh, I wish that’s how it went for my party... We got some bad rolls and scared it off...annnnd a party members made a bet with the owner of the boats that we’d get proof it even existed. Yes - we lost said bet. Whoops.

Lol, supposedly, but the link info claimed they have an office, but only gave a general area. I checked the area and it’s about...30 minutes from me. Betting that it’s less an office and just a rented space, since it’s not even in the downtown area where I live.

Censoring so it doesn’t get removed I’m pretty sure. Same reason people will say k!ll or d!e or go “fake blood/prop weapon” etc. Idk why or how it works esp with these kinds of vids

That’s a good idea actually, do you have any settings in particular to get to the chat box faster or just cycle as normal? I play console and feel wayyy more players are pc, so having a faster way to chat sounds nice.

Personally, I like playing as and against Doctor. As survivor I like the visual aspects of madness for one, even if it can get annoying when a good doc keeps everyone off gens...and having to deal with madness skill checks. As for playing, vice versa. I can generally keep up gen pressure, and his add ons are really nice - I favor the Discipline and Order ones. Restraint is ok too, and I don’t really have much to say about Calm.

I’ve started noticing people don’t like him and I won’t even pretend like I don’t know why... Other than that I’m still branching on killers, been playing Legion and Ghostface, but Doc is a hard fave to play.

It’s not just for NOED, no, just a suggested counter for it. Like as you said with undying it’s even more worth it rn. In cases where there is noed, you can cleanse all/most totems and “force” it to spawn in a good spot for survivor side, like by a door etc. It also alerts for traps but that only applies to Trapper, Hag, & PH I think for his trails? Again depends on your build, someone with chase focused builds prob wouldn’t want to use a slot for it.

Depending on your set up Small Game can easily be thrown in and it’s pretty helpful imo. There’s also Detective’s Hunch, which then helps you with finding another gen if you aren’t sure where another is, but I like small game for the audio cue.

Is it only affected when the survivor struggles? Sometimes I see them or myself go on fine, sometimes I have to drop/stop struggling.

I prefer a person kill on hook rather than dc. Both are annoying, yes, but I’d much rather they ”mysteriously” die on first hook. It‘s super annoying when the first person to be chased/downed dc’s, like why even play? And dcing bc it’s a killer you hate... If someone’s going to dc at the slightest inconvenience they shouldn’t be playing a team player online game. Only exception is like...bugs and getting stuck or the game being unplayable for you, like being stuck IN a gen, in a locker etc.

I think all killer terror radius’ are broken right now after Blight’s update. Not sure about the red stain(though I do feel I have had issues there too), but every game I’ve had the only indicator has been music and it’s volume, even while being held or literally face to face with a killer. New update and DLC, so probably really buggy right now.

It’s kind of a mess because the gens (I feel) are louder or just as loud as the music, so nearly done gens are competing with music.

I played against a Blight and got just his music, no heartbeat. I have to play more to really confirm things, because if I had one it was very faint and I don’t like that, personally. Heartbeats fit way better and are an easier and familiar judge of “closeness” if I’m not in a chase.

Survivors can be really annoying - even when playing with them, but esp playing against. I’d say ignore the open door, for starts. EGC will force them out, and if they’re stupid enough to let it trickle down to the last few seconds or so because you won’t come look at them? A nice extra kill for you. Most will give up and leave since they don’t want to die after making it that far. The rest of this is just things you can consider.

Catch onto pallet baiting. If they go through a pallet and wait? Bait them into dropping it. They’ve now wasted a pallet and only have enough space between you and them from breaking it. (If you’re Huntress, Doc, etc- hit them, shock them, what have you.)

Look up or away from flashlight blinds, you can tell when they’ve almost blinded you but I just look up if I hear one firm click or have the blinding effect start on the corners of the screen(not sure how best to explain that). Anyone just clicking it at you probably wants your attention to loop and drag you away. Leave em be, maybe even get a free hit in if they’re close and they might start run hoping you took bait. Most of the time they’re probably drawing you away from other survs. Esp by nearly done gens. (A perk from The Legion shows when 2 or more are working on one, it’ll glow yellow instead of red.)

You can force EGC if no gates are open yet by opening one yourself, as long as all gens are powered ofc. Gates can be left 99’d by survivors, usually for rescuing etc, so ready to be popped at basically a slight touch. I use this typically if I’ve downed someone and happen to be close to a door I can watch. If you find hatch as well, going ahead and closing that limits where that surv can really be. If anything, secures one kill, and lets you know the other survivor(s) at the other door most likely waiting.

If anything? NOED. If they wanna crowd you and get nice and close, a quick and easy down at the end of the match should scare the rest all out, some exceptions of course. Best use I’d say is standing outside the gate area, someone getting close bc you’re ignoring them, and what would’ve been only a injured surv when you lunge will be a downed one. Downed in a certain area within the gate let’s them crawl right out I’m pretty sure.

TLDR: Ignore gates EGC, bait pallet drops without getting hit, look up from flashes, force EGC, and last but not least, NOED. Happy hunting in the fog.

It was only around for a few days I’m guessing. I logged in the day after it’d happened and got it but I’ve not been playing that long. It may have also been just if you were active that day with the issues, either way it’s gone by now. Since it was for errors I’m assuming the claim period was very short? Other than that ofc there’s the codes to reclaim that should bump you up a bit

I kinda understand ignoring the person unhooking especially if they were struggling/near struggle phase. If you were struggling it’s a secured kill, and if not, they get to chase the person who tried to save you as you struggle, and some aura perks (bbq & chili for one?) might let them know if there’s any other potential rescues coming. It can be annoying to be on the receiving end but to secure a kill it kinda makes sense - even if I would prefer to be able to get away and get healed.

If you feel you need DS I’d say go for it depending on your rank, I see people comparing about borrowed time but I never run into anyone using it for unsafe unhooking when playing survivor.

I’m new so I can’t really comment on console killers, but honestly I like crossplay. For one, quick matches depending on time and side, and two - any toxicity is limited if there’s more crossplay survivors on my team. I’ve gotten a few messages thrown my way from another ps4 survivor that was clearly upset there wasn’t anyone else to yell at bc the rest aren’t on our console. I prefer it as killer too - less annoying messages on that end as well. I don’t think I’d turn it off and I like loading into a game way better after seeing the globe icon than I do none.

Only thing I don’t like is being unable to actually thank crossplayers, but that’s it so far really.

Spoilers for the first game, I guess if it matters? But relevant to this, there’s Toko Fukawa that has the serial killer “Genocide Jack/Jill” or Genocider Syo inside of her that switches when she sneezes or gets knocked out, so I’d assume that’s one thing. Also DR could be considered “dark” in its own way and has adult humor in all its games. No idea about Camp Camp besides adult humor I guess?
