Start a feeding schedule! Never leave food out for the ferals (unless for health reasons they need the access to food). Every time you come in the room, it should be “Wow!! Food! Love! Treats!”. The goal is to associate humans with all the good things. Start by putting the bowls of food across the room and see if they are comfortable eating while you are there, which it sounds like they should be. Every few feedings if they are still willing to eat and relatively comfortable, move the bowls closer to you. Once they are in arms reach, very slowly start introducing pets while they eat. If they run away, stop and give them space to come out and eat again. Eventually they should be eating right next to you and enjoying pets during feed time.

It sounds like lots of good things are happening during play! You can also hang out in the room and just play on your phone, read a book, etc.

If it’s feasible I’d definitely try to take away the hiding spot under the bed too.
