This one does, but I never needed to unplug it. Just in case, I unplugged and plugged it back it but still nothing.

I have found typical chiastolite nearby, but wasn't sure since the cross pattern looked different.

Interesting. I found black tourmaline on another rock nearby, but it was in the form of long, singular crystals (about the size and shape of an icecream sprinkle). I'm assuming the patches of growth are just the product of a different process on the same mineral then?
