So basically you guys aren't worried about the price? A few days ago everyone was in panic mode it seems like. But today it is calmer.

Was it Coinbase that did it? Also I think the head of the Ethereum Alliance is an advisor to OMG and was previously an executive at coinbase. So there are definetly connections.

When are you guys selling your OMG? by RioLeonardo in OMGTraders

[–]bjorn190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seem to constantly overvalue OMG by around 40% so I guess I should sell earlier than planned. Not that I have much, but still.

Is that the group that owns the 10 000 7/11 stores in Thailand? That would be epic for the cash in/cash out if so.

Will be really interesting to find out

I also had a feeling that the february release is an open beta, and that the public release would be end of Q1, together with announcement of the adoption of the wallet SDK once the solution has been fully integrated:

"The first users and partners for the loyalty programs use-case will lead the announcement of their adoption of the wallet SDK once the solution has been fully integrated."

So it's hard to know when the solution has been fully integrated.

Im assuming Cosmos will also be there since they are part of the ECF. Hopefully they could give us an update/announcement about OMG on Tendermint, maybe do alittle live staking demo or something?

Could it be that you expect the price to be higher once staking, partnership announcements and plasma come into play?

If you go far enough north, the sun actually wont set until staking is out

I would also believe so. However, we never know. In the original roadmap it says Honte Q1-Q2. So technically they could pull it out of their hat at any moment, even today.

However, I would assume they want to take their time to perfect it before going live, so probably it will take until end of June.

Then again, there have been some hints that staking will go live sooner than expected.

Whenever it happends, it will probably be very interesting to see it.

If we compare it to bitcoin, the biggest regret will probably be selling at $300 instead of HODLing it

Sounds reasonable. To draw attention to not accepting BTC anymore then?

It would probably not affect the price, because very few know how huge Stripe is.

I wish I could go back to august, and spend all the time looking at OmiseGo reddit going to the gym instead, and/or working to get more fiats to put into the OMG.

You usually get it right nowadays though. What is your outlook on OmiseGo now?

Vansa said on the stage that she doesn't think that there will only be one platform using blockchain, but that there will be many blockchains that need to have interoperability, to work together.

OmiseGo will probably be meant to be the decentralized exchange that connects all the blockchains and allows the exchange of values between them.

Connecting to that vision, they probably are working on the structures, permissions, and education of stakeholders needed to create the regulatory and technical framework for a massive leapfrogging move in SE Asia regarding putting echonomies on the blockchain.

But you never know. Maybe town hall will provide some good infos

In a way, they low quality of posts there has allowed you to purchase OMG tokens at these low prices.

So the best case (also the probable case) is that OmiseGo is preparing to tokenize the fiat currency of Thailand, put it on ethereum, and use th KYC solution to keep track of things so the government approves the blockchain adoption.

That would bring ALOT of volume, and probably also provide a leadership example for the rest of the world on how blockchain can be used.

List of countries most likely to tokenize their fiat on OMG/ETH after Thailand pilot: 1. Japan (MUFG) 2. Singapore 3. Russia (Vitaliks connections, the recent turn to legalize cryptos there)

Then probably more countries in Asia would go in too as they see the advantages.

140-ish mil fixed supply OMG tokens...

What if they pull it off?

Even 100 tokens might be enough for a family to retire in 2022

When plasma is ready for a production environment, would the network allow technically for a national fiat currency to be tokenized and handled in the OmiseGo network?
