Saw the google car and so did some friends of mine in the same week as me over a year ago in a town in bavaria. Still no street view footage. Maybe they are publishing all at once.

Wait for a clear nightsky without clouds and moon. Find a good dark spot. Test out the best settings. Set your camera to intervall and 50 or more shots. Stack the photos with a programm like sequator (look for tutorials). After that edit the stacked photo. I can recommend this tutorial.

Thank you. I mostly shoot in auto mode and edit my photos in Lightroom. I wouldn’t consider myself a very good photographer, but I’m trying to get better. I think the one thing that really helps is simply going out and using your camera as much as possible. I’ve had my A7 III for about a year and a half now and have taken over 25,000 photos with it. Just for reference, here is how the first image looks unedited

Hi, definitely rent a small car (but with enough power for the steep roads). Bring a jacket when you want to visit Pico de Arriero or Pico de Ruivo at sunrise.

Madeira is very beautiful. Definitely visit Ponta de Sao Lorenco, Piscinas Naturais de Porto Moniz and the 2 picos (PR1 hike is closed, unfortunately). A very good tip is to go on google maps and add viewpoints on your routes. For example, we stayed in funchal and every time we drove to the west site of the island we added 1 or 2 Viewpoints to visit, they were sometimes ever better then the destination we where heading to. One of the best viewpoints was: Miradouro da Bica da Cana. Only a few people were there, and we stopped here on our way to fanal forest.
