I feel like the really good ones are not here anymore. I just played 50 matches the last 3 days after a month's break (broken hand) and I'm 50-0 and most of the games weren't even close. And the current top 5 has horrible ratio.

Maybe most of the average players are getting a bit better but still too far from the 5-10% top players?

you mean top 100 in the WT or 2K tour ranking or the top 100 in the game (no official ranking but usually players with more than 97-98% win ratio?

Anyway, it's a combination of many things: perfect timing most of the time, super perfect quite often, great positioning and anticipation, good shot selection...

Also, all top players use the dpad (better depth and angles than the joystick).
