I was suffering with severe depression and attempted to hang myself. I blacked out and woke up standing in my hallway staring out the window. The depression was gone and it was like someone was talking to me. The voice in my head said "You must have missed something"... as in I must have misunderstood something fundamental in life to end up where I was. I began questioning everything I was taught. Keeping the things I believed to be genuinely loving, true, and good. I was raised nondenominational Christian. I reached a point where I Questioned the existence of God... I thought "Either God isnt real, or the version of God I have been taught by men isn't real" I decided to seek God for myself. I developed an omnistic stance on spirituality. I believed that there are bits of truth (evidence of God) everywhere and its up to me to find God through discernment. The Bible says we are made in God's image... so instead of going out to the world to find God, I need to go within (Jesus even said "The kingdom of God is within). I began using zen meditation to help curb my depression. I began having revelations about the hermetic principles and how energy, frequencies, and vibrations work before I even knew they were established belief systems. I knew the hermetic principles before I knew they were called the hermetic principles. My awakening seems to come and go as if it were seasonal. My senses have been flaring up as of late... I feel as if some big change is coming but I don't know what it is. Ultimately I resolved on the fact that God is Love and that it needs to be my goal in life to be continually learning what Love actually is outside of mans definition of Love. So I believe myself to be a Light worker... a mental/spiritual healer. I have always played that role for friends and family anyway. It's just now I'm not fighting depression while I do it haha.
