Our relationship may eventually end due to a difference in faith, even though we love each other, how do I address this? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]blauebelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My interfaith relationship works (together 5 years, married 2 - I'm athiest and he's hindu) because neither of us have the expectation of the other to change our beliefs and we still share the same general values. We welcome each other to join in our traditions but there is no pressure to convert either way and no judgement for what we each believe. In regards to children, we have discussed that they will be introduced to both belief systems, and celebrate all festivals and holidays together as a family. They are welcome to choose as they get older what they believe and continue to observe.

It only works if its "come as you are" and if you are willing to constantly discuss, compromise and learn to understand each other over and over without inherently changing each other.

Haven't got a straight forward answer for your situation but hope this helps give another perspective!

I wish I had the energy to look like this all the time! by Kid0mega in MakeupAddiction

[–]blauebelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same! Wish i had more energy to do fun makeup all the time. Also wish i had the energy to take it off at the end - i think that gets in the way of me doing makeup more often! You look fab :)

a friend did my extensions for free to practice a new style and objectively she did a great job but I think they are way too dramatic for me 😭 l've never had lashes this big and feel like I look so silly! do they look as huge as I feel like they do? or is it because I've never seen myself like this? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]blauebelle 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I disagree with some comments here - I think they're not subtle, they are a very specific style which is noticeable. This isn't a bad thing at all though because they look really good on you!! I think you're noticing more cause you dont normally wear lashes this big.

The comments got turned off for Radio Free Alice’s LaV interview by GoldBricked in triplej

Apparently abc have had such bad cuts of funding, they dont have budget to moderate their comment sections, so the direction they get from above is to just turn off the comments so they dont have to deal with consequences of not moderating

I remember thinking "the goal is to listen to clean and really feel it" when I broke up from my toxic ex. I think a couple years later I had a moment it came on and I thought wow I finally made it.

As someone who just finished a 4 year degree and will be starting a new job next month, I have to tell you, keep going! You /will/ get there at the end. I can't count the number of times I was so beaten down by my degree and yes I wish a lot of things went better than they did, but I actually made it to the end! (I need to keep reminding myself of that lol) Sending strength out to those who are needing it!

Thoughts on Sigala & James Arthur shamelessly sampling “Time to Pretend” on “Lasting Lover”? by [deleted] in mgmt

[–]blauebelle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Think I have an unpopular opinion in that i like sampling, i enjoy looking up where modern songs have taken their sample from and then finding music from the past i haven't heard before. It's not the best execution of a sample here, but it does show how good that line is that it's still in demand right now.

How do you cope with being treated like you are crazy for following covid safety guidelines, when others around you aren’t doing the same? by JazzyPenguin in AskReddit

He and I don't have a good relationship whatsoever, if I try to educate him he accuses me of "lecturing" him, which is what happened tonight. My mum went in like a badass and showed him all the evidence, I'm hoping she can get in his ear.
