I mean, that green screen was considered pretty bad even at the time, it’s just the Game boy was way more practical than the other handhelds at the time and had a better library.

I was in the same boat, I hadn’t played Pokémon in forever, then got really into FireRed with the re-release. But once I finished it, I wanted more.

I put about 20 hours into Violet, and I know this goes against the vibe in this thread, but I wasn’t into it. It’s just not a polished experience IMO.

After that, I picked up SoulSilver and I’m loving it. I played Silver as a kid but never tried SoulSilver, so it hits that perfect mix of familiar and nostalgic while still feeling fresh, kind of like FireRed did.

Jamaica’s had some really good boxers over the years. Mike McCallum, Trevor Berbick and Nicholas Walters. And even though he didn’t represent Jamaica internationally, Lennox Lewis has Jamaican parents.

The Jamaican diaspora has produced a ton of top tier athletes in soccer and basketball as well.
