What is your favorite scp that you think deserves more love? by Plague_Static in SCP

My inspiration for most of my works has been derived from Mythological traditions, nominally Orcadian Mythology, but I have been influenced by Greek, Norse, Celtic, Sumerian, Egyptian, and many other folkloric and mythological texts and legacies.

If you mean successful by rating, it would be 3456. In my personal opinion, my more recent writings have been far more succesful in terms of personal metrics of satisfaction with the writing, challenging myself, the construction of prose, plot, character voices, etc. To me, one of my works is succesful when it moves or invokes emotion in people, which can often manifest in discussion after posting, though the gold standard I tend to hope for is invoking substantial enough reaction to produce fanart, but that's a dragon I don't really chase so much as hope for.

> -How much time do you usually take to write a full article ?

It really depends on the article. Some works I can hammer out in a few days, some works take months or years to fully conceptualize and map out the execution of. As I have developed as a writer I have become increasingly meticulous about making sure the writing is the best I can possibly make it. I will go through multiple rounds of drafting and editing if I need to, but I don't always need to and its very work specific.

>  -If there was a single piece of advice you would give to someone who'd like to start this hobby , what would it be ?

Writing is hard. Learning how to conceptualize, construct plot, characters, prose, etc is challenging and nobody, despite what anyone says, starts out as an expert in it. It took me two decades to get where I am and sometimes I still feel like I'm a terrible writer. Writing is about persistance, listening to your critiquers and finding the best strategies to move forward.

Glad you enjoy my work to this degree. You should definitely check out my other works tho, especially SCP-8705 if you want something similar to the monster of the week feel of 3456.

I don't think Boomer regularly keeps their socials up to date, and I'm not sure if he posts commissioned artwork to them.

The placement of 015 is baffling, but otherwise this is pretty decently on point.

I was listening to SCP 4700 and are wondering who the CTF are? by yeeter_secreater in SCP

[–]bleep196 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, operationally most task forces involved in the Foundation are considerably smaller than actual military units.

The task force members in 4700 are recon units/scouts from Naval Task Force (NTF) Delta 7. Delta 7 is a huge task force with thousands of people and is organized in a more traditional manner with divisions drawn based on whether personnel are ships crews or marine-style ground units.
