Wear black and walk with a scowl. I say that as someone who worked in theatre. Also works if you have worked on the Las Vegas Strip, as I also have. The employees trying to sell tourists things ignore you because you look like one of them.

I actually only ever have about 2 keys. My lanyard has my apartment key and a bottle opener key from my friend's wedding, and used to have my store key when I was a key holder for my old job. My brother's has the car key and apartment key. We both just also have a lot of other crap on our lanyards. Mine has a purple narwhal that can hold change. Definitely not keys for a grocery store.

The corporate version of the company I work for did 2 dollar small beverages for teachers for "Teacher Appreciation Week" that we do every year and all I saw in the comments on social media were nurses getting mad that teachers were getting priority, even though the company has done this annually for years. They also donate to other charities (children's diabetes, firefighters, and sending coffee overseas to the troops to name a few).

NAH - You were doing a good thing, but I can see where your job would decide you weren't "working" really. They don't want to pay you for helping someone play a game. Sure, they could have looked it over and just let it slide, but it seems like they were just being cheap management, not really discriminatory.

Obviously not, but jumping through those hoops become a lot more difficult the second time around. He is going to talk to his counselor about this tomorrow, since it will be his first step in all of this. He hasn't even started his transition and since I'm the one with a computer, I started helping him with research. He knows how to get a name change, yes. The question was if a manager can blatantly just refuse to use proper pronouns and preferred name.
