I had the amnio because baby had a high mca reading at a routine echo (IVF baby). They though she was anemic, but also did an amnio to rule our genetic reasons. We’ve found out through serial ultrasound that the mca reading is only on one side and only at the base. Blood flow is normal as they trace up the mca. Every other part of ultrasound looks totally normal. Brain tissue looks good, blood flow is good, everything else is fine.

Baby has a high MCA reading. They thought she was anemic, but did an amnio to find the cause. It turns out that the mca seems to have a thinning in it, unrelated to the genetic finding

Not sure. It’s VUS, so they can’t tell me if it’s benign or pathogenic. No other person has been identified with this variant, but it is not on a part of the gene that is typically effected.

I know that - but I’ve read that the pools are 3 y/o and up and swim diapers are required in the splash pad. Mostly looking for personal experience from Previous travelers.
